Germany displayed power in this group, having beaten Chile 39-22 (17-12), Algeria 37-19 (17-4) and Japan 34-18 (22-9). They now play Georgia, who are clearly weaker than Japan and possibly Chile. They proved to have a good team against Algeria and had a 10-goal lead but ended up saving the game in the last 10 minutes.
