I think the difference in the quality between these two teams is huge. Darda play with only six players in the rotation, and the rest of the roster is full of juniors, only there to fill a number, so they didn't even play a minute in Krizevci in the last round. Besides a thin roster, they didn't have a real practice for the whole last week. Two very important players, captain Meznaric and Hrncic have health issues. Jolly are the best, or one of the best, quality teams, in my opinion, regardless of the bad start of the season. Ross is the right man for this league, and I don't see anyone stopping him any way today. They have a lot wider bench, more quality players, and I expect them to dominate the jump and show that the first two rounds were only a coincidence. These odds are only here because of the results so far, let's say that Alkar were a favorite against Darda with 20 points, and Jolly were put -25 in Krizevci, who are a similar team to Darda. If this was the first round, we'd have 1,10-1,15 for Jolly. I think that this margin of only couple of points is too low, Split don't have a center, they are stretched too thin under the rim and they will have to force faster play. They have a very solid backcourt for the conditions of today's game, Subotic, Mimica and Siriscevic are players good enough for A1 league. They have scored only 64 points in Rijeka without scoring one 3 pointer, I think that this cannot be repeated today, they have received two salaries and I think that the most experienced Split players will show a lot more in front of their fans at the home court. They cannot defend anything or anyone, lack of height under the rim is this team's biggest problem, Bagaric will make his debut today and he should wreak havoc underneath the basket, Zabok has a couple of solid shooters from outside while a defense is not their stronger point either. Just like couple of days ago, the bookmakers are underestimating Aquachiara. They won against Posillipo 8-7 despite the fatct that the bookmakers considered them as underdogs. They didn't play exceptionally well that day, and they scored only two goals when having one man advantage in the pool (2/13), and I am sure they simply must improve in that area today. Winning an even match against the city rivals certainly lifted their spirits and I expect them to get better with every new round. I wrote about Aquachiara's strength couple of days ago. They have couple of experienced players in the team and it is expected they will be in the battle for the second place on the table and many see them as one of the favorites to win the national cup. After a great season last year, Brescia changed their team completely. Elez, Loncar and Fiorentini are no longer with them, and those were their key players last year. Experienced players such as Mamarella, Binchi and Calcaterra are also all gone. They signed couple solid players, above all Molina from Florentia. But, for many of them this will be only the third game at the new club and it will take time for them to get to know each other. Last season's top goalscorer Rizzo signed for them from Savona, but it is still unknown will he be fit to play today. Bodegas is also slightly injured and they will be in lot of trouble if both of their key centers wouldn't be able to play. They struggled against Como in the first round, and in the second they won with ease against Florentia. Although that result really looks impressive, it needs to be said that Florentia have only very young and inexperienced players in the team this year. Aquachiara's players are at the club for a long time now, and they are well-coordinated. They played ten or so games this season, while Brescia played only two. Home pool is a great advantage for Aquachiara, they will have fans on their side, and possibly the referees, too. Last year (when Aquachiara were much weaker team) they won 13-12 against Brescia at home. They lost the second game they played (7-8) despite being in front most of the time. Today Aquachiara are a much stronger team, and Brescia's players are still getting to know each other habits. I believe the bookmakers made a big mistakes with the odds for this game. Posillipo and Acquachiara are playing the city derby and, despite officially being the home team, Posillipo won't be playing in front of their own crowd today. I believe this is the main reason why the odds are so low for them to win. But, as I said, the bookmakers are making a mistake here. Acquachiara are a financial stable club and they strengthened their team quite a bit in the last couple of years. Two years ago they were promoted to the top division, and this year they played in the Champions League qualifications. Since last year they lost Danilovic, but they have signed Draskovic from Budva and Luongo from Pro Recco, both very solid players. With them in the team they are much more dangerous in the offense and they already proved to be solid investments. They have also national team members Perez and Sadovy, a great goalie Kacic, solid shooter Petkovic and couple more experienced domicile players. Their roster is probably second-best in Italy and they are, alongside Brescia, the only team capable for causing trouble for Pro Recco. I also think they are the main favorites to win the Eurocup this year. Posillipo have bought two Montenegrins this year - Radovic and Klikovac. Radovic is a really solid player but he was out of the pool for a year so it will take time for him to start performing on the highest level again. In the first game of the season he was one of the best players for Posillipo, but that says more about the way the others performed than about the way Radovic did. They were struggling in the offense against not-so-good Florentia and they won 9-7 in the end. They have two solid centers, and an Italian international Gallo in the team. The rest of the squad really isn't on the Acquachiara level and I just can't think of any other of their players that is worth mentioning. More importantly, I don't think that any of their players, with aforementioned being the exception, could play for Acquachiara at this moment. Goalie is their biggest problem. He was mainly responsible for at least 4 out of 7 goals they conceded against Florentia. This is only the second game of the season for Posillipo, whilst Acquachiara have played 10 or so games so far. They started to prepare for the season very early as they played in the CL qualifications. Considering all the facts I just don't see Posillipo as the favorites to win today.
