    Utenis are the most inefficient team in the championship, they score on average of 0.68 per game. They played 7/10 home games at under 2.5 goals. Against an average team of Atlantas they played a game at 3 goals, at 4 against Zalgiris, 6 against efficient Suduva. Their last 4 home games ended with a low number of goals (0.66 per game), and among those is one against today's opponents that ended 0-0. Two home games after the Summer break ended 1-1 against Atlantas and 1-0 Suduva. On the other side, Strumbas have only 5/9 home unders this season, against Suduva, Zalgiris and Atlantas, with the exception of the game against Jonava, who are between these two teams in the standings, which ended 1-2 in the 91st minute. Both teams are at an average of 2.16 goals per game. In the last 3 seasons, 4/5 games here went under, 5/6 of their head-to-heads in the last year.
    Even though both teams played efficient games in the previous round, I think that is because of good opponents, who are top teams. Both teams rarely score and in my opinion it is unlike there will be a lot of goals today, because they will focus on avoiding defeat.     Since this is a clash between two most efficient teams in the league, it makes sense to think about an open game with a lot of goals. I think both coaches will go for the win to continue their good results from the previous round, and they both need points to advance to the play-off. Pohang are at an average of 3.04 goals per game, and 3.33 in home games. Their games are often efficient and 17/24 this season were at 3 or more goals, 9/12 at home. Two against the worst teams in the league (Gwangju and Incheon) were under, they scored only a goal in each game. They were also under a month ago against today's opponents, and I have no explanation for that. They scored in all of their home games, 6/12 times over one. They have been efficient lately, because their average in the last 4 games is 4.5 goals per game. On the other side, Jeonnam are at an average of 3.46 goals per game this season, they are much better at home, they have an average of 2.80 goals per game. In 9/12 away games they scored a goal, and they were not in the over against today's opponents, and other top placed teams who have decent defense (Ulsan, Jeju and Seoul), but we should mention that they lost 2-1 and 4-1 against top two teams in the division. In the last few rounds they have played very efficient games, and their average in the last 5 games is 4.2 goals per game. These two teams played head-to-heads with 4 and two goals this season, and last season they were under in all games, but that is not relevant because back then they were among the most defensive teams in the league. Because of the playing style preferred by these teams, I cannot imagine this game at a low number of goals. The home team can again count on their top scorer Yang, who was rested for a round, and with the away team's defense which conceded more only at the start of the season, makes for a huge bonus for this bet. When we add to that the motivation in both teams, as well as confidence which must have increased after wins early this week, this bet seems more than good to me. Details

    This should be pretty straightforward. Motivation, quality, less injuries and a need for good goal difference should result in a lot of goals conceded for Dumbarton. Hearts and Hamilton have the same number of points as Kilmarnock but Kilmarnock have better goal difference. Dumbarton have not won this competition in two years. They recorded 4 defeats in regular season this and last season and two after penalty shootouts. Dundee beat them 6-2 last year even though Dumbarton had the lead at half time. Kilmarnock on the other hand have 4 wins in 7 games in this competition. Just two were in handicap but those were the last two. I can't imagine Kilmarnock not scoring a few goals here. I think the handicap is a great option even though I would not be surprised if the game went at 5-6 goals. The 3,5 over should be a very good option as well. Details

    There should be no doubt about the winners of this game because of the quality, motivation and more complete team. Partick's first division side have shown their strength at home by defeating second league side St. Mirren 5-0, who defeated Stranraer 4-1 away in the first round. Their record in this competition in the last year is 6/8 wins, and 4/6 wins were by 2 or more goals. They are highly efficient and have scored at least a goal in all 8 games, while their average in those games is 2.25 goals per game.
    On the other hand, Stranraer are on a five game losing run, three of which were at home, and all were by at least 2 goals ( three were lost by 3 goals). They concede a lot so their average in those five games is 3.4 conceded goals per game. Last year, when they needed points to advance in the group against Motherwell and Rangers, they lost 3-0.
    Considering all this, I believe the home team will have a strong start, like their coach announced, they want to decide the winner soon, so their players wouldn't get nervous. Considering the home team will send out their top team, while the visitors will send out a changed and rather young lineup, the quality is on their side, by far. That is proven by the fact that they are competing two divisions above them. They will be motivated, and the away team are perfect for a win at a higher margin and for lifting their confidence ahead of the play-off. Anything but Partick's win by at least 3-4 goals would be a surprise for me.
    I will bet on the -2.0 handicap where my stakes would return if they win by two, and in my opinion the difference should be even bigger. Details

    I think the home team will win this by a few goals.

    They have been particularly impressive this season, especially home where they recorded all 11 wins of the season. They won 12 out of 21 game in the league by at least 2 goals and looking at just home games, that record is 6 out of 10. They didn't beat Sligo, at the start of the season, Dundalk and Bray, who are currently in spot 2 and 5 and St. Patrick in the last game but they rested their top players in that game. On the other hand, Galway are bad away but they lost just 3 out of 11 games by more than 2 goals. Still, they lost to Dundalk 2-0 and 4-0 to Cork earlier in the season. Cork also beat them 4-0 home and 5-0 away last season.

    Cork scored 3 or more goals in 6 out of their 11 home games. Their average home is 3,2 goals scored. They scored one goal only once (in that St. Patrick game). They do not hold back even when they're in the league as the fact they scored at least one goal in each half time. Not counting the St. Patrick game, they have two 4-1 wins and two 5-0 wins in the last 4 home games.

    I believe the home team will have a serious approach from the start and that they will score a lot of goals. They are very efficient and after getting knocked out of European qualifiers, they can shift all their focus to domestic championship where they want to keep the good run going. Details

    France are the favorites in this game and I believe they will win and secure the top spot. They will not allow themselves another surprise like the one against Slovenia. Slovenia play 5-1 defense which disturbed France's offense, while Denmark play 6-0 against which France have many solutions. I don't think France can repeat the black hole they had against Slovenia, they scored only 1 goal in the last 11 minutes. Denmark cannot win the top spot because Slovenia have already won, they can only be second with a win and third with a defeat. If they finish second (and if they defeat Hungary or Faroe Islands in the round of 16) they will face Spain in the quarter-final, but if they finish third, they will face Norway and then Iceland or Croatia. Since Denmark have a better record against Norway and Iceland/Croatia then against Hungary and Spain, I think that will be on their minds today, and they will not try as hard as they could. France should use that, because they are fighting for the top position and avoiding Germany and Spain until the semi-final.
    Overall number of France's goals seems like a good bet to me, they have shown that the inefficiency against Slovenia was a fluke and a result of Slovenia's great defense. Out of France's last 26 official games, 18 went over 30 goals, and two were at 30. They did not go over against Spain. And they had no need for thrashing against Japan, Brazil and Switzerland because they had a great lead and could slow down. In friendly games ahead of this competition they scored 34 to Switzerland, 24 Germany, 31 and 32 Spain, 38 and 34 Iceland. At this tournament they did not go over only against Slovenia.
    Denmark do not concede a lot of goals, but they are always around today's margin against offensively oriented teams. None of those teams are as offensively powerful as France. In their friendly games in the past year they conceded 31 twice against Croatia, 32 to Netherlands, at last year's EC they conceded 32 to Croatia, 31 Norway, 28 Iceland. Only Slovenia scored over this margin against them at this tournament.
    I believe France will record an easy win and I don't think they will allow themselves to have a bad day like the one against Slovenia, and they should score a lot of goals as well, similar to their previous head-to-heads in Denmark last year, where France won 37-32 and 31-18. Details

    Because of the importance of the game for Slovenia, and their defense led by great goalkeeper Kastelic, I believe that Egypt will not score over 12 goals in the first half. At this tournament, in the first halves, Egypt scored 15 against France, 11 against Denmark and Sweden. At the previous championship in Russia, they scored at halftime: Spain 11, Norway 8, Iceland 12, Germany 13 and Sweden 10. They went over today's margin only against Germany, but Germany had a weak team at that tournament and ended 17th.
    On the other side, Slovenia are good in defense and they are trying to copy their senior team. At this championship they conceded 11 to Denmark, 12 to Qatar and France. Only 12 conceded goals against the top team shows they have a great defense. In the qualifiers for this tournament they conceded, at halftime, 10 against Ukraine and Slovakia, and 12 against Kosovo. At the previous WC in Russia they conceded 9 against Tunisia, 8 Argentina, 13 Brazil and Japan, but they had an early lead against Brazil and Japan and later played more relaxed.
    Considering everything mentioned, I believe in Slovenia's strong start, they are trying to reach the top spot, and I believe they will be maximally focused from start to finish, which will result in less of Egypt's goals in the first half. Details

    I believe France will win this easily by at least 4-5 goals. They have a much better subs and the top players who are on the team, unlike on Slovenia, who are without top two scorers. Also, Slovenia had 23 technical faults and conceded 16 goals from fastbreaks. The French coach said he wants better defense and that is why I'm mostly going with this tip. Slovenia won the Qatar game mostly because of Qatar's slow transition. That won't be the case here because France attack within seconds of conceding a goal. They are extremely efficient and beat most opponents on account of fast transition that doesn't allow the opponents to change the players. France won by this goal difference in 16 out of 23 competitive games over the past three years. They didn't in the aforementioned game with Slovenia and twice with Germany, Hungary and Spain but we need to note that they beat Hungary by 3 goals exactly. Slovenia, on the other hand, have just 5 defeats in competitive games over the past three years (Spain -1, Iceland -4, Switzerland -9, Hungary -3 and France -7). France beat Iceland by 7, 7 and 5 and Switzerland by 10 and 11. One meeting in Russia finished as a draw and the other one was a +7 win for France but we need to note that Slovenia could count on top two scorers who scored 26 out of 58 goals. Their absence is definitely a problem for Slovenia. Details

    What I like as a tip in this game in goals over because both of these teams are quite efficient.

    Hungary went over this margin in 19 out of 26 competitive games over the last three years and they didn't go over against Germany, Chile, Macedonia, Slovenia, Switzerland who are much more defense oriented. They played Croatia at 57 and 53, Slovenia at 55 and Russia at 61 in preparation games over the past month. We need to note that they scored 28 in the Croatia game while the Croatians recorded just 25.

    Norway have 18 overs in 23 competitive games over the past 3 years. They went under this margin only against very defense-oriented teams (Spain, Germany, Macedonia and Egypt). Also, they played two very efficient games while preparing for this competition - against Denmark at 56 goals and Sweden at 59.

    These two teams met in Round of 16 of the World Championship and that finished with 72 goals. We can conclude that they often go under the margin against weaker defenses and often go over against more efficient teams. Since both teams are pretty efficient, I don't see why they wouldn't score a lot of goals here too. I believe the margin is at least two goals off and that is why this is a very good choice for me.     I have no doubts France will win this and score a lot of goals. This French generation is undefeated for three years in official games, apart from their meetings with Spain or Germany, who are much better than Sweden.What I like most as a betting option here is a goal over for France because Sweden disappointed me a lot with their defense against Qatar even though they allowed only 21 goals. However, it was Qatar that mostly controlled the pace.

    France have a lot of solutions in offense and have the kind of bench no other team of this generation has. They averaged 33 goals scored at 2014 EC and were not able to score at least 30 goals only in the first game with Hungary. But they got their revenge in the final when they scored 33. AT WC in Russia, they averaged 32 and went over the 30-goal margin in 6 out of 9 games. They didn't go over only in games they settled early on. They played Sweden back then and scored 35 in total and 20 until HT. They finished under the 30-goal margin only against Spain but Spanish defense cannot be compared to Sweden's. Also, that game was settled in the first half and there was no rushing in the second.

    In the last 3 years, this team went under the 30-goal margin just in 10 out of 47 games. Among those ten are Spain three times, a friendly with Portugal with B team. France did great in the first game here to score a total of 40 goals against Egypt.

    On the other hand, Sweden were pretty good in defense the past few years but their first game with Qatar wasn't good. Qatar were inefficient and the Swedish goal keeper had 41-percent of saves. They conceded 26,5 in competitive games over the past three years but they conceded a lot against all good offenses (2015 Iceland 31 and France 5, 2016 Denmark 33, Hungary 31, Croatia 30). In preparation games before this competition, they conceded 26 to Norway, 27 to Denmark.

    France will control this from the start. I expect them to win by at least 5 goals and to score a lot. Details

    I expect Denmark to have a better approach and don't trust Egypt much, the tip here is first half under. There's a lot of arguments for that in stats, especially for Denmark.

    Denmark played 2014 EC with this generation at 25,8-goal average in the first half. They went over only against Switzerland (15-15) but both teams played their usual game in the second half and only 23 goals were scored. The game with Sweden went into an over just because Denmark had a big goal difference. With other teams they had: Spain 28, Russia 24, Macedonia 23, Hungary 23 and Spain 24. We need to point out they allowed the super-offensive Russia only 10 goals. Their average was 24 in the first half in Russia and they went over that margin only against Brazil in the last game (for spot 7). With other teams they recorded: Qatar 20, Algeria 22, Croatia 24, Russia 28, Switzerland 24, Tunisia 23, Spain 21 and Sweden 24. Things were similar at last year's Euro in all the important games: the Netherlands 24, Macedonia 21, Norway 22, Germany 24, Croatia 26. We can conclude that they played first halves under this margin in 13 out of 16 games at the last two major competitions. If we look only at the games important for the semis of those competitions, they are 13-for-13. Three games they players in these qualifiers went under (Romania 21, Bulgaria 27 and Sweden 20). Preparation games ahead of this: Norway 29 and 27, Sweden 23.

    Things are pretty similar with Egypt. They went under this in 4 out of 7 games at the championship in Russia but the results with Iceland (30) and Venezuela(42) aren't that relevant. The last game in which they went over this margin was against Tunisia for spot 15 but that didn't mean much to them. At the Olympics two years ago, they finished all first halves as unders. At the African championship last year, they finished the first half with Mali with 38 because Mali are just horribly. But with teams that can compare to Denmark, they had nothing but unders.

    Given all that and the fact teams will want to avoid the second defeat, I believe both will start tough. Details

    Since I expect a very tough game here as both teams prefer that game style, the tip I like most is first half under. I think Denmark will win this and that both teams will get into this game carefully since it's the first one in the championship. Slovenia need to make up for their lack of quality with as less turnovers as possible.

    This Danish generation averaged 14,6 goals in the first half at 2014 EC, 23,9 at 2015 WC, and 25,2 last year at Euro. That last one was affected greatly by two unimportant games for spot 5 (33 and 32 goals). Still, they managed to keep the following teams under at that championship: The Netherlands 24, Macedonia 21, Norway 22 and Germany 24. The first half with Croatia finished at 26. They went under this margin at WC against: Qatar 20, Algeria 22, Croatia 24, Switzerland 24, Tunisia 23, Spain 21 and Sweden 24. Only the Russia (28) and Brazil (30) games went over but we need to say that the Brazil game was not important. We can conclude that they had unders in 11 out of 16 games at the last two championships, if we look only at important games. They finished the qualifiers for this competitions with 21 against Romania, 27 against Bulgaria and 20 against Sweden. Details

    There is no doubt in my mind that Faroe Island will win this. Since I expect them to open fiercely, the first half handicap at them seems like a very good option. I don't think they will go under some 15 goals and I don't think Chile can go over 12.

    Faroe Islands play a fast-paced game similar to Danish national team game. They were very efficient in qualifiers for this competition (scored 16 against Switzerland in the first half, 17 against Israel, 16 Finland). Switzerland and Finland are better than Chile and Isreal are at least one level better. They had a 4-goal win over Finland at half time and 2 against Finland. Their key players are at Danish and German teams and will transfer their game here.

    But, the main reason for this tip are Chile. They are extremely defensive-oriented. At the Panamerican championship this season, they conceded 18 and 14 goals by half time to the only comparable opponents Brazil and lost first halves by 4 and 9 goals. The US managed to score 14 at half time and win the first half by 5. Two years ago in Russia at WV, they conceded the following number of goals by half time: South Korea 19, Hungary 17, Poland 16, Sweden 23, Serbia 18, Venezuela 16 and Algeria 18. They had an 8-point deficit at HT to Korea, 13 Hungary, 8 Poland, 15 Sweden, 12 Serbia, 4 Venezuela and 10 Algeria. I'm not saying Faroe Islands are Hungary and Sweden level, but they are at least as good as Venezuela. Chile as a rule get behind by half time and their opponents then hold back in the second half which results in less goals.

    I believe Faroe Islands will set their pace here and score a lot of goals by half time to get at least a 4-5 goal lead. Details

    Dusseldorf will win this, that's pretty clear. I expect them to win by a lot of goals. There are no relevant games for the home team because they played no serious opponents in the last 2 years. I base this bet on visitors' stats. They are a much better team and will control the pace here regardless of which of their players are on the team. Last year they weren't as efficient away as they scored just over one goal on average. Still, their friendly meetings are very efficient. They beat teams of similar quality to their next opponent 4-2 and 6-1. They have a 14-0 win over an amateur team. Their top scorer from last season was not in any of those games and he should be there today. They played quite a lot of friendly games with teams better than Veebeeck: fourth-tier Rot-Weis Oberhausen 3:0 i 3:1, Offenbach Kickers 3:0, Wegberg-Beeck 8:1. When it comes to even weaker teams: 9:0 against Benrath and 6:1 against Kaarst. They played 9 games with third-tier teams in the past year and have an average of 2,7 goals scored. They scored 2 against Malaga, 3 against Lorient, 2 against Paderborn. I don't doubt whatsoever that they will win by a lot of goals today. Fortuna's coach demands high efficiency that they didn't have last season and since there are a lot of new players on the team, I'm sure they will score at least 3-4 goals and the opponents probably won't be able to score more than one.     What's obvious here is that both teams like to play a productive game, especially in test meetings. Annan averaged games of 3,39 goals in the championship and have an approximately same number of goals scored and conceded. They played very efficient games this season (7 goals once and 8 games of 5 goals. Last year they played 0-4 against this opponent and 2-3 against Airdrieonias. Both were test games. We can add that they went over the 2,5 goal margin in each of the last 8 test friendly games, two of which finished with 5 goals and 3 4 goals. Queen of South averaged 2,72 during the season and have went over 4,5 goal margin in 6 games. Last season, they played Dalbeattie 4.0 and have not gone under the 3,5 goal margin in the last 7 friendly games. Given all that, I don't see this finished with less than 3 goals.     Legia are quite efficient. They scored 1,89 goal per game last season and we need to note that they scored 4 away against Borussia and 3 home against Real in CL. A few days ago, they beat the top division team Wisla Plock 3-0. Their coach says they will play a similar game now.

    On the other hand, Radomiak Ramor team conceded an average of one goal per game. They have no friendly matches with teams of this quality but they lost to Zlin 4-1 last season. The game that is more or less comparable is the one from two weeks ago when they played second-tier Bytow home and lost 2-0. They lost 4-0 away.

    I expect Legia to win by a few goals. The reason for me to go with the first half is the visiting coach, who said he would go with basically the top team from the start. I'm therefore worried they will hold back in the second half. Details

    Anything but a convincing win for the home team would be a surprise. Linfield recorded 12 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats (defeats to teams holding spot 3 and 4) with 44-10 goal difference. They score 2,31 per game and concede 0,52. They won 10 home games by more than 2 goals and scored at least 3 in at least 8. Their games with teams from Faroe Island are a bit more relevant since those teams are better than those from San Marino. Linfield dealt with them rather easily (two years ago Runavik 2-0, Fuglafodur 6-0 4 years ago. They displayed good efficiency in the Bala Town game as well a few days ago, having scored 3 goals. It goes without saying that Bala Town are at a higher level than today's opponents.

    La Fiorita are rather convincing in the domestic championship but their opponents are just too weak to be comparable with Linfield. The only comparable games are from European qualifiers, which they always lost. Two years ago to Debrecen 2-0 and 5-0 away. Two years ago to Vaduz from Lichenstein 5-0 away and 5-0 home. Three years ago to Levadia Tallinn from Estonia 7-0. The closest they got to a point were away 4 years ago in Malta when they lost only 0-1 to Valetta after losing the first leg 3-0. The first time they got into qualifiers, they lost to Liepaja from Latvia 4-0.

    I expect La Fiorita to keep the bad results in Europe going. Their players are basically amateurs, the league they compete in not good enough to prepare them for this. Linfield might not be very good in Europe but they are much better than their opponents. I can only go with their high win here. Details

    Since a somewhat more relaxed approach is expected today, I think this will end with three goals at least. Zemplin play efficient games in the Slovakian league and average 3 goals per game. They didn't concede a single goal only in the first out of 15 away games of the last season. All of their friendly games of the past year have been productive (Debrecen 2-1, Debrecen 1-6, Banik Ostrava 3-3, Slavoj Trebiš 3-1, Volyn 0-4, Debrecen 3-1), but 4 out of 10 finished as unders (MTK 2-0, Varda 0-0, Partizan Bardejov 1-1, Gornik Zabrze 0-1). Debrecen average 2,66 goals in the domestic league and even less away. But what I base this tip around is the fact Debrecen played 11 friendly matches in the last year and a half and each of them finished with 3 goals scored at least. The average of those 11 games is 3,72 goals per game. The three h2h games with today's opponents in the last year finished at 4,66. Given all of that, we can expect a lot of goals here.     I have no doubt WAC will win this game. They are much better than the opponents and their team is nearly identical to the one they had last season, while Kapfenberg's coach doesn't even know who to put on the team. I expect Kapfenberg to play a game similar to the one they played with Admira 4 days ago. The only difference is the fact that was the first game for Admira in this test period while WAC already played before. Their last three friendly games were won by WAC easily (5-0 less than half a year ago, 3-1 and 3-0). Any result but a convincing win for WAC is just not realistic. Results WAC had in test games against lower-league sides the past year suggest they will win here too (won at least by 2 goals).
