Last season two thirds of their total matches remained under 5.5 goals. The crucial thing for that kind of stats are brilliant goalies. The home team has Sergei Bobrovsky, the winner of the Veza Trophy, while the visiting team's goalie will be Tuukka Rask. Both of them played every match this season and they're in excellent form. Bobrovsky conceded more goals against the Flames, but a match with a lot of goals is normal with them. No one plays more overs than them. In all other matches, five in total, neither goalie conceded more than two goals, and I believe today will be the same. Cannes are a much more experienced team, despite Lyon's interesting roster. However, most Lyon players have either been fringe players for League A players or haven't played in the top division at all - the likes of Pujol, Samica, Castard, Lopes, Pashytskyy. I think that Paris will be judged here based on their convincing defeat in the first game. Their style is well known, everything is based on very solid defense which is the result of the philosophy promoted by coach Pavicevic. They have let their opponents score the least points in the regular part last season, but they have scored on the average little bit more than 72 points per game (fifth weakest offense of the league). They went over this margin only twice during pre-season games when they played against weaker opponents, while they scored only 64 points in the away game against Gravelines. This is a team in which several US players are given full rein, they tend to play short attacks and rely on outside shooting. Wroclaw ran over Pila in the first round, Lodz lost in five sets against Bielsko Biale. They had many oscillations, they made many mistakes and I would say that a less bad team won that game, not a better one. Their coach organized them well, he placed Mroczkowska as libero and that gave them an additional solution in offense. Preseason matches showed their play is well organized. Dirickx is great organizer and one week more they had for practice could result in even better performance. Lodz have an advantage of playing at home, but last season Wroclaw chased them from their own arena at the end of the season and achieved an easy win. Today they look like a better team than they were at the end of the last season while Lotz seem the same. Home team lacks height, their coach admitted that at the start of the season and they will miss Pycia in block today. That is another advantage that goes in the favor of the visiting team. Wroclaw blocking was great in the first round and they are individually a better team also and I believe they can win this road game and I take their 3-0 or 3-1 win for a medium stake. Details

I'm repeating my first round tip, although the margin is the same and the opponent a bit stronger. However, Kolin are an away game that Nymburk traditionally do well in. Against Usti the champions showed they wanted the maximum result this season, which guarantees they will be fully committed, at least in the opening moments of their games. Last season they demolished Kolin on five occasions, though that result should be taken with caution as the home team have now put together a completely new team. However, I believe that this will not be a point in their favor. Unlike Nymburk, who have already played three games, Kolin are only now officially opening their season, and there will certainly be a touch of anxiety in the beginning. It will take a completely new team some time to tune up, and Nymburk are the worst possible opponent for them in this moment. The maximum of pressure applied by their players leaves very little space to the opposing guards, leading to turnovers and lightning-quick fast breaks. Using that strategy, Nymburk managed to drop +21 on Usti in the first half alone, though Kemzura himself confirmed his team played pretty poorly in that period. Kemzura cannot count on three important players once again, but he beat Usti without them, as well as Kalev in Estonia, two days ago. Nymburk were not even in the Czech Republic 24 four hours prior to the game, and that will certainly be a problem. However, the season has just started and the players are full of energy. Besides, that issue should not surface in the first half. Their strength and focus might perhaps drop in the second half, and it is to be expected that Kolin will spread their wings a bit as the game draws out. For those reasons this option is the best choice. Last season Nymburk won this away game with +27 and +48, and on both occasion the score at halftime was the same, 50-28. Details
