Canada are without their top player Vernon-Evans. Without him, they are 40-50 percent weaker since he is the one who makes the difference. On the other hand, the Czechs are complete and now again have a player who is to them what Evans is to Canada. They played Poland in a test match and lost 1-4 while the Canadians played no games after finishing third in the Panamerican Cup late in May (with Evans on the team).

These teams have no previous meetings but we can make some comparisons. The US, Cuba and Brazil are teams that beat Canada easily even with Evans on. They also played Turkey - the US won 3-2, the Czechs lost in straight sets without their top players . Italy beat Cuba and Brazil in straight sets while Cuba and Brazil beat Canada easily. The Czechs will have the home court advantage which cannot be ignored but at the same time, this is a game for the QFs since they have only Morocco and Poland left to play. Details

Zeljeznicar's last test game is a good indication of what we can expect today. Both teams play their European games next week and their opponents will most definitely send someone to collect info on their game. It's logical to assume both teams will try and hide some of their plans, especially in offense.

Siroki had 16 unders in 20 games in league and Cup games last season after Sablic took over (was in change at Split before and went 22 for 26 in unders). They finished the season with 11 unders in 12 games. The only over was the second leg Cup game with Zeljeznicar who had to make up for the 0-1 deficit from the first game. That was an away game while the other three overs happened in Siroki. Two of those were convincing wins which I do not expect today. These 4 overs are the only 4 games in which they scored more than one goal per game.

Zeljeznicar had the second lowest goal average in regular season (1,91 goal per game). Things didn't change much as they went into the race for the title (2,10 per game). The fact they had 17 unders in 22 games of the first part of the season says a lot about their game. The visitors are 13-for-16 for under overall in the season and played their overs against three most efficient teams int he league. Also, they lost the player with most assists, acquired a lot of new offense players and will need some time there. They opened the last season with 8 straight unders (2 friendly matches included).

In head-to-head games, the last 6 out of 7 were unders with the only over being the aforementioned Cup second leg.
The problem here is the home team losing top goal keeper and a starting center back. The visitors are without a starting center back and a left back. Be that as it may, this should stay under given both team's game style. Details

Turkish center at this Eurobasket is the American Quanitra Hollingsworth, WNBA player who is, looking at the physical strength, among 2-3 most dominant players at the tournament. She is 197 cm tall, she scored 15.7 on average here, with 11.3 rebounds (7.7 defensive, 3.7 offensive). In their games so far at the tournament she recorded: 14 points and 6 rebounds against Slovakia in a game that was quickly decided, so she had reduced playing time. In the second round against Italy she scored 29 points (10/20) and recorded 21 rebound in 37 minutes. That game is the most relevant one for today's game against Greece because the Italians are similar to the Greeks, short lineup without a center who could physically handle Hollingsworth. The American scored only 4 points with 7 rebounds in 13 minutes against Belarus in the second round, but that game was not relevant, because Turkey already secured the top spot before that game. Greece faced Serbia in the first round, their center Milovanovic scored 17 points with 8 rebound, and in the second round, their second center Lisec scored 15 points. In the 3rd round against France their centers Miyem and Clark played great /12 and 11 points), but France have a wider rotation in all positions, unlike Turkey. And finally, in the round of 16, against Russia, the Russian center Vadejeva scored 18 points and added 21 rebound in 35 minutes. Two years ago, at the European Championship, Sanders was Turkish center, and he was their best player against Greece (18 points and 12 rebounds). The option on the over of points by Hollingsworh is good, but I think that an even better option is the over on rebounds, because we can expect a tough game at lower numbers, and I see Hollingworth recording a double-digit number of rebounds. I have no doubt WAC will win this game. They are much better than the opponents and their team is nearly identical to the one they had last season, while Kapfenberg's coach doesn't even know who to put on the team. I expect Kapfenberg to play a game similar to the one they played with Admira 4 days ago. The only difference is the fact that was the first game for Admira in this test period while WAC already played before. Their last three friendly games were won by WAC easily (5-0 less than half a year ago, 3-1 and 3-0). Any result but a convincing win for WAC is just not realistic. Results WAC had in test games against lower-league sides the past year suggest they will win here too (won at least by 2 goals).

Cecchinato has been in fine form since early April. He has played at seven strong challengers and reached at least the quarter-final at every of them. He won a title, reached another final. Most importantly, his defeats weren't really slip-ups. Only the defeat to Pedro Sousa could be seen as such, but the Portuguese won that title with impressive performances.
He defeated Caruso twice in that period, by 8 points two months ago. Caruso won two futures back then, he was in great form, and still won 20 points less. Then Cecchinato won at the Roland Garros qualifications by 9. They have played 5 head-to-heads, two at futures, and Cecchinato won them all. One of their matches was open until the end, but the other four wins were convincing (by 8, 5, 8 and 9 points).
We cannot say that Cecchi is a classic smasher, his record in wins on clay at the -4,5 is 27-27, but he plays in strong European competition and a lot of those matches have nothing to do with this. He defeated players like Rublev, Kovalik, Trungelitti, Krajinovic and similar, and they would also be favorites against Carusa. But there are some minuses there, so he did not cover the -4.5 against Belotti and Mesaros, but the head-to-head here with enough recent matches is enough for me to believe that the minus is not big enough.
Caruso has been known to have flashes in the past, he almost defeated Coric (two weeks before that lost to Cecchinato), won a set against Kachanov, played 20 games against Ramos, but that was a while ago. Of his last six defeats, two were to Cecchinato. He also lost to Travaglia, Giustino, Mannarino and Anderson (irrelevant). He covered the +5.5 only against Mannarino, but the Frenchman played with back pain. Before that he was collecting points at the futures.
Interestingly, Cecchi lost in straight sets to Bolleli in Roland Garros qualifiers, the day after he thrashed Caruso. When he defeated him two months ago in Francavilla, he almost lost to Krajinovic, he did not cover the handicap against Berettini and lost to Pedro Sousa. That is proof that e does not have to play his best tennis to defeat Caruso. That is why I expect Cecchinato to record a convincing win today. Details

The first of the three H2H set to take place in Poland. These two teams have no meetings in the last few years. For comparisons sake, we'll say that Poland won spot 14 at the 2015 U18 Division A championship (there were 16 teams competing) while Slovakia won spot one (7-1) in Division B. The teams are basically identical compared to that competition but Poland are without second best scorer Budkiewicz, while Slovakia have no such problem.

It's important to note that this same Slovakia played U20 Division A championship last season and won spot 15. That is why they are in Division B this year. Still, Slovakia left a better impression than their final result suggests. They had 2-1 in the preliminary stage and won spot 2. The format was such that all 16 teams went into Round of 16 and the defeat in that game set their faith.

Poland finished in 8 but only 4 players from this team were there. Poland beat Bosnia who were better than Slovakia later on, lost to Latvia by 5 but if we keep on comparing, Poland beat Germany by 16 in the group (Slovakia by 15) and lost to Russia by 13 in Round of 16 (Slovakia by 16 in the group). Later on, they lost to Belgium by 35 and Slovakia beat Belgium by 12 at the start.

Poland should be weaker than last season while Slovakia remain pretty much the same. Poland already played 3 test games with powerful Czechs (6th at 2015 U18 A Division EC), lost the first two and won the third one easily. The third one was played behind closed doors and we don't know which Czech players were there. This is the start of the preparation period of Slovakia which demands caution but they confirmed to be a very tough team at previous competitions. I don't expect a lot of points and I don't think we'll see any trashing today. I would not even be surprised by Slovakia winning. That's also a good option for a smaller stake. Details

In this game, everything suggests the home team will win. Horoya would get just one step away from the next stage if they win and cannot afford to slip today. Their 1-0 win over Mounana two weeks ago is good for this tip. The home team rarely lose home. They have just one defeat in the last 46 games and just two draws in the last 31 games. Horoya tied their meetings with the other two opponents in the group, while Mounana lost both games in handicap. This competition is priority for Horoya since they are well ahead of everyone else in the championship (4 points ahead and 6 games less). The visitors, on the other hand, are in a close race for the top spot. Since they are without any points and with very slim chances of going through here, it's possible that the visitors are already focused on a league game coming up in 4 days. Details

The Russian and Slovenian teams are preparing for the next season in Austria. This is their first test game. Celje are without team captain Jovicevic who left the team together with 12 other players (top goal keeper Kotnik (21x last season), Žiga Kous (13x starter), Damir Hadžić (30/24-1 goal), Dalibor Volaš (26-15 goals, top scorer), Goran Cvijanović (23/21-1), Goran Galešić (3x), T. Klemenčić (12/7x starter), Matej Podlogar (31/25-5 goals), A. Lovrenčić (10/2x starter), Lovre Čirjak (24/22-5 goals), I. Hadžić (16/9-4 goals) and Tomislav Barišić (8x starter). Six of those players were there for the last championship game against Domzale (Celje beat them 4-1). A lot of players will be tested at Celje. Rubin finished last season in spot 9. Great news is that their former coach Berdyev is back. He's been in charge of the team for 13 years and they won the Cup and championship with him. They have been in Austria since June 9 and this game is to conclude the first part of the preparation period. They have a lot of players who have been on the team for a while now, unlike the Slovenians who are without a lot of players from last season. Rostov are a better team, especially with their old coach. Details

Iceland have been known to struggle and slip up as favorites in the past, but they are better than Ukraine and I think they will not miss this chance. They have been consistent in their official home games. They are undefeated in the last five home games, and their squad has been rejuvenated. In the qualifications for the previous EC they beat Serbia and Montenegro, and much stronger Portugal 26-23. In this round of qualifiers they recorded minimal wins over Czech Republic and Macedonia, who are also better than Ukraine. After a poor performance on Wednesday, there were a lot of statements that they want redemption, I expect them to go strong from the start and their quality should come to the fore.
This Ukrainian team has several quality individuals, but they are far from the Icelanders who are playing in world's strongest leagues. They lost at Macedonia by 6 and Czech Republic by 7, on Thursday they were dominated by Macedonia, but still managed to win a point. If we look at some of their earlier, relevant away games - they lost by 4 to Hungary, when the Hungarians had no imperative, and every goal mattered for Ukraine, then lost by 10 to Portugal, while their earlier clashes were with much different teams, before Andronov took over and some important players retired. The Dutch cannot afford to slip today. They trashed Korea by 22 in three sets, played great and focused and didn't give the opponents a chance. On the other hand, Slovakia recorded a bad defeat to the Czech Republic in straight sets (-19) which is not unexpected since they are without some important players. They stand a chance of reaching the FF of Division 2 but Kohut and Christiansky are greatly missed, as we say yesterday. Patak is not at 100 percent and Kubs seems to be on holiday mode.

Slovakia lost by 19 yesterday and the Dutch trashed their opponents 25-19, 25-15 and 25-15 last week. Also, both teams have wins over Portugal. Slovakia beat them home (complete) while the Dutch beat them on neutral grounds. When setting the odds, the bookies took their last meetings from recent WC qualifiers as a reference. The Dutch won that 3-2 (25-27, 26-24, 22-25, 25-16, 15-9). However, that result suited both teams and according to results, it was horrible to watch the Dutch make fun of their opponents and the match. Slovakia had Kohut back then (seven points, block 0-for-1), Christianski (14) and fully fit Patak (22) but the Dutch still covered the handicap. That is why this deserved top stake because I expected it to be at -15,5 at least. Since it's not widely available, I'll go with 5/10. Details

Russia opened the competition with a win over Latvia, who prefer a very fast paced basketball. The game finished at 130 points. Belgium, on the other hand, played Montenegro, who are not at the highest level defense-wise, at 130 points. I expect an even tougher meeting today. I doubt Belgium can hit 25 in one quarter again. Russia have one of the best defenses here. They beat Belgium 57-48 in a test game in Italy. Belgium were without their top offensive end player Meessman which means they will be better on both ends of the floor today. Looking at Russia's test games with defense-oriented teams comparable to Belgium, they have 65-40 with Italy, 59-58 and 69-52 against Turkey. They had a 15-point lead over Belgium by the end of first half. The game fell apart early on which I do not expect to happen today. Belgium lost the test game to Italy 62-68 and to Spain 59-59 and 48-87. Details

Slovakia are without team captain and most experienced player Kohut, starting receiver Christianski and both liberos (Turis and Ogurcak). Zhe other starting receiver Patak is not fully fit. Being without those players is a massive problem for Slovakia because their subs and just not that level. The Czech Republic are with the same team from last week apart from receiver Dzavorok who didn't play much anyway. Both teams have a chance of reaching the playoffs and the Czech Republic need to beat both them and Korea to face the Dutch in the last match for the Final Four. When it comes to comparable matches, both teams played with the Portuguese and beat them in straight sets but the Slovaks had Kohut, Patak and Christianski to count on. The Czech Republic beat Finland 3-1 (+5) at the first tournament while Slovakia lost in straight sets in Helsinki last week (-18). They played last season in World League where the Czechs won 3-2 in Bratislava. Kohut recorded 12 points, Patak 21 and Christianski 14 in that match. I'll go with the -2,5 point handicap because it should be at least -8,5 given the absent players. Details

Macedonia are after their third European League season and finally want to win the final after losing the last two. Still, we need to see if this team has enough quality to reach the Final Four since they are without three very important players. Granted, Simovski didn't play last season either but setter Despotovski and best middle blocker Josifov have. I daresay the team is 30 percent weaker without Despitovski and Josifoc. Also, they didn't play a single test match which makes the 1,05 odds at them ridiculous. As for Azerbaijan, they played the Islamic Solidarity Games and reached the final. They lost 5 out of 6 matches there but France, Germany, Turkey and Ukraine are just better. It was only the French who trashed them while they did well against other opponents. They now want to at least get through to the Final Four and since they already have 10 matches played, they should have better rhythm than Macedonia. There are no comparable matches but everything suggests we should go with this tip. I think this handicap should not even exist. It should be at -1,5 sets. I would put 1,50 at Azerbaijan max. The bet is available at bet365. You can also go with over 140,5, Azerbaijan team over and points counter-handicap (+17,5). Details

What got me to go with this tip is the fact Fener are undefeated both at Euroleague Final Four and later in playoffs. They covered this margin in every single game if we count in the last one which they won in overtime by 6. The fact spectators are banned from this game is a big plus for this tip. In previous relevant away games, we have +16 with Darussfaka, +39 with Efes, +11 with Banvit, +4 Galatasaray. Also, they covered this 4,5 in the last 19 games. Granted, it was close in some of them but still... It’s been a long season and I don’t think Fener will leave anything to chance today. Bersiktas must be disappointed after the third game. They are no longer at the right level mentally and I think Fener will get the title today. They are a winning team and won’t hold back. They don’t want to this season to go on any longer than necessary. They were 5-0 in Euroleague playoffs, 8-0 in the Turkish league and are clearly one level above all the other teams. Details

This is the Queen's Cup semifinals. It's a meeting between teams that played the semis last season two. Barcelona beat Levante 3-0 and lost to Atletico Madrid in the final 2-3. Valencia lost to Atletico in the semis 1-2 in extra time. However, Valencia knocked out Barcelona from this competition two seasons ago and lost in the final to Sporting de Huelva 2-1. Barcelona recorded 75 points in the championship and conceded just 13 goals in 30 games. Valencia finished in third with 11 goals conceded. These teams met 7 times in the last 3 years. Barcelona won 3 times, Valencia 3 and they recorded a 1-1 draw in December of 2016. Interestingly, 15 goals were scored in those last 7 games. This may be the last game for Valencia's coach Toro. The draw against Barcelona away is a big reason for his side to be optimistic today. They know how to play big games as they proved this season with that draw and the two draws with champions Atletico Madrid (1-1, 0-0). Their problem are games against so called small teams. They had 8 draws in those this season which is definitely too many. That proves their lack of offensive power, as do games against Barcelona and Madrid. Barcelona lost an important defender who played all 28 games this season. Also, Alves got injured in a national team friendly and won't be here either. However, Barcelona have a lot of experience in this competition and we cannot miss out on this pick. Each of these teams concede a goal in every third game if we take a look at the stats. Their h2h games had an average of 2,14 goals in the last three seasons. They are now meeting in a very important game and everything suggests it will be an under. Details

This is the key game for both teams. Slovakia are hosting it in the big arena in Bratislava. Around 10 thousand people are expected to attend. Both teams are extremely motivated and who ever loses here will get knocked out on account of worse h2h record. We are going with the team under at Russia is because of the players they will be without. Coach Torgovanov cannot make up for them. Gorbok, Atman, and Seljmenko are their top players and Russia aren't the same without them. Igropulo is out as well and the young Dasko will most likely not play. That means they will probably go with three right-handed players. I don't think Derevenj and Zitnikov will manage to get the game at 30 goals.
Russia were limited to 21 goal to Sweden twice in a similar lineup. They managed to score 13 in the first h2h with Slovakia when Ataman, Sljemenko, Gorbok, Dibirov were on the team. In a game in Montenegro, they scored 11 with all the key players on the team. Looking at all qualifiers, they went over 13 only once by half time. They scored 18 (18-18) in the second one against Slovakia.
Slovakia lost the first half to Sweden home 15-8 and won the second one 9-6. Against Montenegro, they won 15-11... Given the circumstances, this should be a full-blown war. Details

I don't think Sweden will have bad moments like in the first half of the first game when they scored only 12 goals. I expect an easy win for them and Macedonia's results only help me. When they lose, they lose by a lot of goals. Against a horrible Turkish team they conceded 38 goals in a friendly the other day and 35 to Russia, who are close to Sweden.
Three months ago, they conceded 43 and 35 to Serbia three months ago. Serbia are close to Sweden. The game with Croatia from a year ago in EC qualifiers in which they conceded 35 and that game can serve us as a reason too. Sweden like to play fast offense with easy goals. When they play teams that play a game similar to Macedonia, they scored quite a lot of goals. They scored 30 against the fast-paced Netherlands, who have a better defense than Macedonia. That game took place 6 months ago. They scored 30 against Serbia at the same competition. Also, in the game in Skopje, they were holding back in the last 5 minutes and could have probably scored at least 33-34 goals.
I don't see a way for Macedonia to limit Sweden to under this margin, unless they change their game dramatically. Given the bad game they put up in Turkey two weeks ago and in the first qualifiers, I think there is no time or quality for something like that. Details

Belarus beat Bulgaria 2-1 three days ago, in the qualifier for WC. They will face off New Zealand today. Coach Kriushenko sent 6 of his starters home to rest and says those who didn't play the Bulgaria match will probably play this one. The rest of the starters will be spared as much as possible too, especially knowing that the Bulgarian championship resumes on Thursday. New Zealand will play the upcoming Confederation Cup which is to start on Friday. Belarus are their final test. The Kiwis started to prepare in Ireland where they played Northern Ireland and lost 0-1 some 10 days ago. A few days later, they beat Cabinteeley 5-2. Their opponents are a second-tier team. Coach Hudson said that the next game is important for them to get some confidence before the Russia game in 5 days. He said that the team is now strong while Belarus won't have most of the top players. Hudson will go with the best he has. The race for a spot on the team is fierce and everyone on New Zealand will try their best. I therefore don't expect them to lose. Details

Italy's selector Ventura confirmed that he will use the 4-2-4 formation here, ultra-offensive because they want to score as many goals as possible to improve their goal difference. Spain are ahead of them in that segment because of their 8-0 win over Lichtenstein.
    - We don't want just to win against Lichtenstein, we want to score many goals - said the Italian coach, whose team defeated Uruguay 3-0 and San Marino 8-0 in the last two games.
    - We have to win and score many goals. In the first game we scored 4 in the first 30 minutes, later failed to use our chances - said Ciro Immobile, who will probably make the forward 4 with Candreva, Insigne and Belotti.
The Italians are fired up, and in their first head-to-head they had 4-0 by halftime. With this level of motivation, they shouldn't be under five goals.
The away team are coming here without several important players, but I don't think that is too relevant and they will probably have no say in how things develop.
Italy's team over will be in the Live offer, so far only Marathonbet have over 4.5 @ 1.7, which is good, but the Italians are going after the goal difference here, so I think there is the same value in the handicap. Details

Belarus and Albania played in this competition last year and both games were settled in the fifth set. What's important now is that neither team has changed. They met in Poland last year and Belarus won the fifth set 15-10. Compared to the teams that played back then, Belarus will be without starting receiver Silantsyeva. That match finished at 198 points. The other game was played in Albania but it had no importance. Belarus played it without starting receiver Malasai while middle blocker Klimovic played only the first set. Thaka didn't play for Albania. That match finished with 212 total points and a win for Albania.
Both teams have so far lost to Finland in Tirana. Albania put up a better fight than Belarus to win 7 total points more. Belarus were convincing against Austria and recorded a straight sets win. I expect Albania to win at least a set here. Belarus are weaker than last season and have struggled in WC qualifiers against Bosnia. Bosnia are better than Albania. Albania went over this margin in 6 Europa League matches. They even did that against Poland, who were ahead of Belarus in the group. More importantly, they played Slovakia at 185 and 177 points. Slovakia beat Belarus twice in Europa League and finished in second, losing the final to Azerbaijan. We can say that Albania are better than last year and they will do everything they can to give Belarus a hard time here. They managed to do it last season and I don't see why today would be any different. The margin is at least 4 points too low and I don't see this ending in three sets. The alternative is 3,5 set over offered by Pinnacle. Details
