The Bulls played 4 overtimes last night

The team from Chicago won 13 out of the last 16 matches against the Knicks but since they used massive amounts of energy against Detroit, it's not entirely likely that they will be able to stand up to a much better-rested opponent

Slowly but steadily the Knicks are making progress. The playoffs don't seem like mission impossible at this point for them, which is a big success for a team that mostly lost all their games easily last season. Derek Fisher's guys recorded their 3rd straight win last night against Philadelphia when they beat the 76ers easily, even though the 107-97 result might not suggest so. 

- You always want to have a 50-percent success rate, especially now. If we had a chance to get back to that record, we should. You always want to be around 50 percent, which doesn't mean we're happy with that - Carmelo Anthony said after hitting all of his 16 points in the first half. 

As expected, the Knicks took a big lead early on. They went 30 points up, which allowed coach Fisher to keep the starters on the bench in the final quarter. Not a single one of them spent more than 28 minutes on the floor.

- These kind of wins are a rarity in NBA. Beating someone by 20-30 points is tough. You have to be at the right level mentally. I think we were focused and did a good job - Anthony said. 

After hitting 29 points against the Wolves the other day, Afflalo finished the 76ers game with 22 points, while Porzingis added 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks. The bench, lead by Williams (17), combined 50 points. 

- Everyone has it easier when the bench is that good. The starters can do what ever they want to and not worry about the lead being squandered away. The guys from the bench kept it going - Melo said. 

That win was the 13th for the Knicks this season. They had 13 wins in mid-March of the last season and it wouldn't be surprising if they won today since they are to face the worn-out Bulls, who lost to the Pistons last night after playing 4 over times (147-144). 

- We fought and left it all out on the floor to lose after 4 overtimes. It's hard to get over but it happens and we have to live with it - Gasol said. He hit 30 points and added 15 rebounds 5 assists and as many blocks. 

Fred Hoiberg's team played their 6th game in 10 days and 8 of his players spent at least 20 minutes on the floor, while all the starters played for at least 38. Jimmy Butler spent team high 55 minutes on the floor to score 43 points, while Derrick Rose hit 34 points with 8 assists in just over 54 minutes. 

- We expected to win. We failed to defend the home court  - Butler said after his team ended the 4-game winning run.

The team from Chicago won 13 out of the last 16 games against the Knicks, but given the among of energy they used last night, it's tough to believe they can put up a fight to the well-rested home team.

As you probably know, guessing the outcomes in NBA games is not really my thing but I simply cannot ignore this game. The Bulls are set to play their 7th game in 11 days today, which is in it's own inhumane, but to make matters even worse, or better (depending on your point of view), they played 4 over times last night!? All the starters spent at least 38 minutes on the floor in the defeat to the Pistons, with the Gasol (48, Butler (48) and Rose (54) trio taking most responsibility. That is why I'm very suspicious about how efficient they can be tonight. It's not impossible for one of them to get a day off today, which would make this bet even better. The Knicks played last night as well but they had an easy game in Philadelphia. None of their key players spent more than 28 minutes on the floor and all 13 players got at least 5 minutes each. To sum up, the Knciks are not as nearly as bad as last season and I think they are good enough to be able to take advantage of the situation and finish off the worn-out Bulls, who are not doing well away this season as it is (4-5).
