An attacking game not expected in Granada

Getafe are on a good run and they will try to extend it against Granada, a team which neither scores nor concedes much

Granada had no real chance in their away match against Villareal. The home team was a strong favorite before the match, but in the ned they won the match more easily than expected. Goal scoring is quite a problem in Granada's game this season, but their defence also had a bad day against Villareal. That's why it was ludicrous to assume that Granada can expect anything other than a defeat.

- We didn't play well against Villareal, but we lost the points because our concentration level was low, especially in the defence. We've been working hard in order to correct certain mistakes that constantly repeat in our game during the international matches break. The most important thing is to play a much more concentrated game against Getafe and start making positive results again. The matches I liked the most were those against Valencia and Athletic and if we play at that level, I'll be very pleased. When we play at such a high level, we can beat anyone. However, we're still not a team that can win while playing badly - said coach Lucas Alcaraz realistically.

Compared to their last round's match Granada's team will be strengthened by an extremely important striker Piti who will appear in the starting eleven. Midfielder Recio is also back in the starting eleven while Dani Benitez has been injured for a while now.

Getafe started the season slightly worse, but the club from the suburbs of Madrid has started playing better lately. Getafe lost only one match in previous five rounds, against Real Madrid, and won 12 points. They were especially impressive in the last round when they scored three goals during the first 30 minutes of the game and won in the end, more easily than expected.

- The statistics speak volumes of Granada. That's the team who has scored the least goals in the league, but they're also the team who's third best when conceded goals are considered. They're highly organized, have good team work and it's really hard to create a chance against them. They're in pretty good condition and their main characteristic is that they don't have many ups and downs. I don't expect an attacking game in Granada, it'll be a match in which patience will be crucial and hard work will be necessary to win points - said Luis Garcia of Getafe.

Defender Lisandro Lopez, midfielder Angel Lafita and full back Juan Valera are back from an injury after missing Getafe's last match. Lopez and Lafita are supposed to be in the starting eleven. The only unavailable player is Alexis Ruano, who's been injured for some time.

As Luis Garcia noticed, today in Granada we should not expect an offensive game. The home team is one of the most inefficient teams in the league, but on the other hand, they play a very strong defense, and concede very few goals. After their last defeat, the home team want to win today, but will play cautiously, not to repeat the same thing as in a game against Villarreal, when their numerous errors cost them three goals. You should not expect the visiting team to attack from the very beginning, they would probably be satisfied with a single point, and as the coach said today they need to be patient and wait for an opportunity, and there will not be too many today.
