Laval spent the second international break in the relegation zone as well, but the situation looks a lot easier now than at the start of September when they were at the bottom without any points. In the last two appearances in front of home fans they won against strong opponents, Brest and Angers so they await Havre with the hope of finally reaching a safe position.

In Auxerre they didn't manage to improve their poor away performance. They held out for an hour of "siege" and when they slackened at one set piece there was no more chance of coming back. They only took one point away so far, against the backmarkers CA Bastia.

 - The main reason for disappointment ins that we didn't manage to transfer the game on the opponent's half. We were under pressure the whole time. If you are not a danger for the opponent's goal, you cannot expect much - commented the coach Hinschberger.

The support of the fans should give them a boost; against Angers they were going at full speed. Their problem will be the absences of three first team players: center back Couturier and the well-coordinated duo Goncalves-Alla. One will be substituted well by convalescent Baby but there will be more difficulties with the other. The defender Ben Djemia and the forward Toudic are also coming back.

The offensive of the away team worked for a short while in September and then went quiet again. They lost against Caen 0-1 with a penalty kick in the final moments and against Dijon they had a draw with no goals. The coach Mombaerts was nevertheless satisfied:

 - We played a good match against the strongest opponent we met so far. Dijon will be in the top if they continue like this but I think we had better opportunities.

Against Laval they will probably push a bit harder. In the matches between them there are a lot of goals. In the beginning of July they played a friendly 2-2 and in both of last season's matches they went over 2.5.

They will be reinforced by an important duo, center back Toure and forward Riviere, who got injured against Lens. The winger Manzala was joined on the list by the multifaceted Dingome who so far played on three or four positions. The forward Malfleury went over to Istres.

The results do not show it, especially with Havre, but both teams have stronger offence than defense. This is a situation in which both teams will be open: Laval played the last two matches in front of their audience bravely and have been rewarded, so they will continue this; while the guests, who are way below the position where they objectively belong to, will surely not be so cautious like when they played against Caen and Dijon.
The best offensive players on both sides are ready, the last three matches against them went into over and i think that 2.28 is a good offer.
