St. Louis have recently become the top team in the league

The Blues took the top spot in the last round and now they have a chance to get further ahead of Anaheim. Dallas did not finish their game against Columbus last night but they were shocked as their player collapsed so they certainly aren't rested and ready for this game

St. Louis Blues have reached the top of the league through consistent and important wins in recent games. For the first time after a long while, Anaheim Ducks are not at the top of the League or the West and that all started as brilliant Ryan Miller came to Missouri. Ken Hitchcock's team is is working perfectly and the Blues currently have five wins in a row, seven in last ten but only a point more than Anaheim.

As far as recent games go, the Blues are playing great. It is definitely their best hockey this season. They are winning left, right and center and they have such a good momentum since they have not played too many games lately, while exchanges allowed them to refresh their team. It was seen in the last game which the Blues deservedly won by 3-2 after penalties in a difficult away game at Minnesota. 


- The Wild played well enough to beat us tonight, but we are the ones who will leave this arena happier, rest, look at the video and be happy about winning two points. But it was a very difficult game - said the hero of the Blues T. J. Oshie after the game in which he scored the winning penalty for St. Louis. 


Despite the difficult game, the Blues are in a very good form ahead of their game against Dallas, another team that is doing well. However, Dallas are doing well in terms of their situation in the team and in the league. They hold the eighth spot in the West and are on an upwards trajectory. The seventh-placed Minnesota are just four points away and Dallas have two wins in a row and 7 in last 10 games, which means they will want to extend their winning run, as they still do not have a big enough league ahead of their opposition.


- At the moment, no one in my team is thinking about the game and wants to play hockey, and I think that's normal, as the others should do, when you see something like we did yesterday, and it's your teammate...You simply can't focus only on hockey then. This is the right reaction and emotion. The players are not well at the moment and I don't expect them to be - said Lindy Ruff after the tragic incident in Columbus and his team will play a game for Peverly tonight, as he will be out for a long time.


In terms of injuries, only goalie Lehtonen has been injured so far. Now Peverly has joined  this list, but the rest of the team is healthy. However, mental fortitude will play a vital role and Dallas will certainly not be themselves against the Blues, against whom they've already lost twice this season - 6-1 away and 3-2 at home after penalties.

Judging by coach Lindy Ruff's statement, the players are in shock and crisis due to this incident and are not even thinking about hockey. In addition, apart from Peverley, who is an important forward, the Stars are without their first-choice keeper Lehtonen. So, the Blues are completely organized while Dallas are facing an unexpected crisis.
