A full auditorium at the home premiere of the new team in the first league

Kifisia is expecting the game in an excellent form, full of self-confidence. The auditorium will be fully packed as this is the team's first game in the first league at home. The guests have been for an entire week without the injured first play Jones

We mentioned in the announcement of the championship that great things can be expected this season from Kifisia, the rookie in the league. They opened the championship with a victory in the unpleasant game against Trikalla and showed that the forecasts were correct and that this season they will certainly occupy a position in the upper part of the league table. Experience is their greatest strength, as the team has seven players over thirty and exactly this was crucial against Trikalla, because in the finish of the game there took over the experienced Tsaldaris and Liakopoulos, and routinely brought the game to an end.

- This is our first win in the first league, and of course we are delighted. We played well, but there are still things that need to be worked on and repaired - said back Menoudakos after the game.

Certainly, they will need to work on the attack because the numbers were not impressive. There were nine missed free throws, 16 turnovers and an equal number of cracked threes and two-pointers, which suggests an attacking problem. However, it should be noted that this was an away game against Trikalle, which bases its play solely on the defense. Today against Dramas things should look a lot better. Since this is Kifisia's first home game in the first division, it is clear that they expect a full hall:

- I believe that the hall will be too small for all those who would like to watch this historic match. We've always had a great support of our fans, and now it should be even greater  - said Nikos Barlos.

Such an experienced and excellent team, with the support of the full auditorium, must, of course, enter the game as a favorite, but coach Papatheodorou calms down the passions:

- We are expecting a very good team and we will not relax just because they were defeated in the first round against Aris. They have a very tall team and it will be important to control the jumps because this allows us a quick transition, which is an important part of our game.

Papatherodorou also highlighted some key things:

- Although the defense is crucial and everything starts with it, we must be the ones who will implement a fast pace since the points can be scored easiest from the counterattack and half-counter attacks, and at the home court this transition should work even better.

Since this is the beginning of the season, all coaches complain that their teams are not in the optimal shape, but it seems that in Kifisia this is not the case:

- Of course we are not at 100%, but I would say that we are certainly on the 80-90%, which is very good and we have to take advantage of this.

Dramas is certainly well below that, which could be concluded by the opening of the season when they had the first blunder as they were defeated at home against Aris, and this  was after they dominated the first half and reached a great goal difference.

- In the second half we lost our focus, especially in defense and here we lost a match. They ran more, and scored a lot of easy points, so that defensive transition actually "buried" us - said Dramas' coach, Nenad Markovic.

A very interesting statement considering Kifisa's intentions at today's game to take advantage of this particular element of Dramas' game. It will be interesting to see whether Markovic improved anything in that part of his team's the game.

- Against Kifisia it will be even more difficult than against Aris. Although novices in the first division, they have tremendously experienced players with hundreds of games, while I have a new and inexperienced team. In addition, for an entire week I didn't have at practice the first play Jones, who was injured and this made trainings impossible for us - said Markovic, without having clarified whether Jones will be present in the line-up.

It is clear that even with Jones, Dramas plays the role of an outsider in this game. Kifisia is much better harmonized, better, and more experienced team, which will have the support of the entire hall. Dramas will need more time to sort out all elements in their game, and they will not be able to do so here.

Kifisia are the absolute favorite to win this match. Their team, composed of high quality, experienced players, have been proving they are in great form ever since the first round, which is something one cannot say for most of the Greek teams. Today they will be playing with the support of a full arena, as this is their first league premiere in their home court, which should be a big boost and no pressure at all, as the team is full of 30-year-olds. Dramas have been playing very poorly since the season started, they fumbled vs Aris at home and it will be along time before they manage to tune up, which was confirmed by coach Markovic as well. He has many new players and a team that need tuning up, who could be even weaker today due to Jones not playing. Regardless of him, the quality is undoubtedly on the side of the home team, who should easily reach a victory carried by the support of a full home arena.
