Nenad is far more important defensively than offensively, but since Fahlgren's been out for a long time, his offensive role is important, too. Schneider will play the middle back

Even teams with a roster far better than Melsungen's wouldn't have it easy playing three games in a row against Löwen, Kiel and Hamburg. But Melsungen are a good team, they'll get to fight for Europe till the end of the season, and they can be a threat to anyone in the league. Löwen lost here, and they'll try to force Hamburg to do the same. It should be pointed out that Hamburg are in a good situation right now, and quite dangerous. 

Melsungen didn't stand a chance against Kiel, though. The home team took the lead from the start, and didn't let it go. Melsungen were 2-3 goals behind for the entire second half-time, but couldn't even it out. They also lost Nenad Vučković due to the right ankle injury, after a Kiel player fell on his leg. He's definitely out today, and since Fahlgren is still gone, despite being back at the practices for the last few weeks, Melsungen are struggling with the middle back position. Tim Schneider will take the burden, but he's more of a middle back/scorer than a true middle back.

- Hamburg are one of those teams who'll be fighting us for the EHF Cup - the coach Michael Roth pointed out. 

Allendorf and Michael Müller got minor injuries, but they'll both be playing.

- Just like Löwen and Kiel, Hamburg also have strong individuals, and an experienced roster. Because our club is in a tough situation, it brings the players closer together. That makes this team very dangerous.

Hamburg are one of Melsungen's black cats. Melsungen hadn't beaten them in the last six matches, and they are in a 4-game losing streak. The guests won 26-23 last season here, with Bitter tending Hamburg's goal in a great way.

Hamburg are five points ahead of Melsungen, and are coming here after beating Balingen and Wetzlar. The win against Wetzlar is especially important - the final moments were really weird, they haven't scored a goal after 29-19 in the 48th minute.

- We knew how we're supposed to play in Wetzlar, we started by creating a lot of pressure and we used our chances, had good movement. The pressure wasn't as big in the second part, but we kept Wetzlar at a distance with our fastbreaks - the goalie Bitter said. He had 13 saves, while Lindberg (11/11) and Pfalh scored 17 of 29 goals.

The coach Biegler covered for Matthias Flohr not playing due to an injury thanks to Nenadić, who'll play an important role defensively, next to the duo Brozović - Grabarczyk. The left back Tom Wetzel is out, too.

- Beating Wetzlar shows things are going the right way - Hans Lindberg said.

Hamburg beat Bergischer and Göppingen beside Wetzlar in their last four away matches, and only lost to Kiel. Even though they still haven't been paid for October, they could be really dangerous tonight.

- We have a tough match, Melsungen are playing a good season. Everything has to work perfectly in our team so we could get the points here - the captain Hens said.

- But we have wind in our back and we want to play another good game. We'll see what happens after that.
