Cup Final dress rehearsal

It's a meeting of teams that will soon play the German Cup final match. Both teams are in high spirits ahead of this championship match after recording straight set wins to advance to Cup final

This match could be regarded as the dress rehearsal for the German Cup final that is set to take place on March 1st in Halle before 10,000 spectators. Both teams got through to the final by winning in straight sets last Saturday. The wins were followed with great celebrations, of course.

Aachen recorded their first home win in the most important match of the season - over Vilsbiburg. It was their best performance this season, their game was excellent, consistent when it came to reception and precise when it came to attacking. That win was a huge boost of confidence ahead of the meeting in Stuttgart.

- We didn't play like we do now at season's start. We're making progress each next match and that is what matters. We worked hard the last few weeks in order to fix some things and we believed it can get better despite of all the disappointments from season's start. We had faith in ourselves and this Cup final is our reward - coach Rojko said.

His team are getting better lately, have improved reception, and the results followed. Aachen are currently in spot 8 in the championship table but are definitely cut out for better achievements. They are expected to go higher in the second part of the season. Maja Burazer, Aachens top performing player in the Cup semifinal, said:

- The schedule is extremely busy, we didn't have enough time to rest and we have to play a new game. We want to see where we stand compared to Stuttgart. This match will be a preparation for the Cup final. I'm sure we'll be a bit more relaxed now that we actually secured the final. We'll try and get as many points as possible in the games to come, we are all fit healthy and nothing is bothering us but fatigue.

Stuttgart beat Munster to get in the final, confirming they're top German team at the moment. They are on a 7-game winning run and hope to beat Aachen today to go to the runner-up spot (if other games end favorably). Stuttgart are diverse in offense, great in defense and in high spirits because of the winning run.

Stuttgart are the favorite against Aachen home, a lot of fans will turn up to celebrate the Cup semifinal win. They are injury-free, just like the opponents. Home court is the great advantage for Stuttgart since no one left this city undefeated. 

- The match with Aachen will be interesting, both of us won on Saturday in the Cup semifinal games. It's only two days since those games that we meet in the championship. We'll try and do our best especially since we're playing home. We're going for a win to keep the winning streak going - Stuttgart's substitute libero Malevic said.
