Both teams could be significantly weaker

Luckily for the Cavs the away team have some issues as well, their best player DeMarcus Cousins sprained his left ankle two nights ago for the second time this season and his performance in this game is officially in question

After an extremely hard period in which they lost eight of their ten games with LeBron James only appearing in one of them, the Cleveland Cavaliers scored eight wins in a row with an average lead of 12.7 points. James suffered a wrist injury on Tuesday which prevented him from playing against the Blazers the next evening, but his team still won 99-94.

The hero of the night was Kyrie Irving, who started off by missing seven shots, only to end up with 55 points (17/36, 11/19 for three points), tying for fourth place with Brendon Jennings for the most points in a match by a player under 23 years. Only Rick Barry scored 57 points twice, while James had a 56 point game once.

- I've seen many brilliant performances, but something like this? No, never, and I've been coaching for a very long time- said coach David Blatt.

Apart from scoring a bunch of points, Kyrie was also the man to decide the match. First he scored the equalizing three pointer at 92-92, and then the decisive one with six seconds to go that gave his team a +3 lead (97-94). After the other side missed he got a rebound as well and secured the Cavs' victory with free throws.

- The whole team made this happen. I could not have done any of this without my teammates- said Irving humbly, after scoring 93 points in his last two games combined, with 17/29 for three points and 17/17 shooting from the free throw line.

His career best evening came at the right time, as Kevin Love was practically absent from the court, scoring only 10 points with 3/15 shooting from the field, redeeming himself slightly with 12 rebounds. The Cavs power forward is allegedly struggling with several injuries, including back and knees, meaning it's possible he will rest tonight.

According to the last information, James will be absent as well. With him away, the Cavs have had a 2-8 score, and only once managed to score triple digits. Even when he comes back, he'll play less time than he did so far.

- We're doing the best we can to keep him fresh. We'll try to watch how much he plays- says coach Blatt, whose team has been averaging 111.3 points in their last seven games.

Scoring is rarely an issue against the Sacramento Kings, who've arrived to the Quicken Loans Arena with a string of seven defeats, conceding 109.4 on average during that period. Although they had a five day break prior to the game, the team from California did not impress on Wednesday in Canada, losing 119-102. The held their ground up to the third quarter, when the Raptors took control of the game and ran away with it.

- We have to be much more proud of playing one on one defense, that would solve many our problems- said DeMarcus Cousins, who was limited to just 13 points (5/10) by an ankle injury, and is in question for tonight.

His possible absence would put the focus on Rudy Gay, who scored 22 points (8/17) in Toronto, while Ben McLemore added another 17 points (6/11) and five rebounds.

Since both teams could be rather weakened, the previous matches have little merit in predicting this one, but we should still note that the Kings did win the first match these teams played earlier this season 103-84, and were led by Cousins with 26 points.
