Volleyball classic for the first place of the group F

This is a match between teams with no defeats in Italy. In the direct duel, they'll decide the first place of the group, since both teams passed through to the third round, there could be changes in the lineup on both sides

Another volleyball classic in the championship in Italy will be played in Verona. This is a duel between two teams who face each other regularly in all the bigger world competitions. Today's one isn't that important, definitely not a deciding one, because both teams secured the third round. Here, we'll find out who will go as the first in the group F, and who as the second. USA got one point more so far, but neither of these two have defeats in this championship. 

- I'm very proud with my team, we played lots of games so far, showed we're good. Serbia pressured us today to do our best - USA captain Glass said after defeating Serbia yesterday. 

The Americans celebrated in three sets, but didn't get their win easily. In each set until the final moments, the Serbians were just as good. USA played key moments better, made less mistakes, and it got them their eighth win in the championship. Murphy was the best with 14 points, Robinson had 12, and the experienced Larson and Dietzen Harmotto stayed on the stands.

- There are lots of teams that can go all the way. Maybe we can get the title, but other teams have the capacity to celebrate here. I think we can be proud at this game. I'm proud with the team, they followed the game plan today, it's a result of our work so far - the American coach Kiraly concluded after the win against Serbia.

The Americans played three friendly matches against Brazil in July, and won them all as a home team. In August, Brazil got even, won both matches in the Grand Prix which they later won. USA didn't even get to the final tournament of the renown competition. 

Brazil secured the third round yesterday by defeating Russia. The Brazilians celebrated 3-1 (25-17, 25-27, 25-19, 27-25). They avoided the fifth set because Russia had 20-11 in the fourth. Thanks to the great serves and the block, Brazil got out. Thaisa Menezes was brilliant with 22 points. Brazil made a difference in that match with their serve, Russia were even a bit better in the block, getting a point more there. 

- I'm happy with how our block worked in crucial moments. It's pretty good that we managed to come back in the fourth set. That turnover shows the team's strength and unity. This is a team win - Thaisa said after the win against Russia. 

There's a chance Brazil will rest some of the important players today. They've got the width, 14 good players, and they can afford it. This match was announced by the Brazil player Gabi:

- We have a very important match against USA, it decides the first place of the group. Today's win against Russia definitely motivated us even more for the game against USA. They're a team that play differently than Russia, much faster.
