Milano after the 8th straight win

Bologna's youngsters have the chance to bring down the defending champions but that's not very likely to happen today. Milano are on a 7-game winning run and want to end this year with another win and a confirmation of their top table spot

Bologna and Milano's game should not be too dramatic, but with Bologna still having the chance to qualify for the Cup final tournament, the motivation will be running high. They beat Pesaro last round to end their two game losing run.

They opened the game in a great manner, taking an 18-8 lead to get 13 points ahead by half time. Pesaro didn't give up, they got back and took the lead only for Ray to score a winning three pointer in the last attack from a 10-meter distance and two playing trying to block him.

It was his 22nd point in the game and White and Hazell finished with 15 and 10. Bologna did great in rebounding (47-36), recording 19 offensive rebounds, but poor efficiency disabled them to settle the game much earlier.

They won't be able to get into a dramatic finish with Milan since the visitors know how to punish any mistakes. Bad news is, they can't count on Fontecchi today. Valli proved he's very important for their concept:

- He's our only forward, but we need to focus on the game. The boys need to be ready for Milan's fitness and Euroleague game. It won't be easy, especially in the paint, where we lack height. We need to do great defense, it's our only hope.

45-23 in rebounds proves just how physically superior Milano were. Brooks was their leader with 19 points, Miss added 14 and three other players finished with double-digits.

Milano are now to face the youngsters from Bologna, who should not be a problem if they focus. Banchi didn't say much about the game as always:

- We are going to finish the year 2014 in Bologna. They have displayed fierceness that got them 6 wins so far. We just want to keep the momentum going.
