PSG and Barcelona met in the quarter finals a year and a half ago and played two draws

The first major test of the season might be happening just a bit too soon for PSG. Things are still not working perfectly at the Parisian club, the troubles with injuries are still on, while their key players struggle to reach their top-level, which has an effect on the confidence of others.

PSG remain undefeated, but interestingly, 4 out of their last 5 games ended as draws (all of them 1-1 draws). They have had good periods of time in all of those games, but they lack consistency. 

- We know that we've been dominant last season while this one, with the same coach and the same players, haven't reached that level. I admit we have problems, but the level of determination we've been displaying is making me confident. The approach is great, maybe even better than last year - coach Blanc said following their meeting with Toulouse on Saturday.

He gave some players who have been doing best so far some time off (Van Der Wiel, Motta, Lucas), but their key players Silva and Ibrahimovic didn't have enough time to recovers from their respective injuries. Lavezzi got injured as well. The absence of the Swedish striker was, as expected, the number one concern of the media.

Their goal keeper didn't concede any goals again. Barcelona never once conceded a goal at Camp Nou this season.

- I'm happy with how things are going for now, but I know that our run will have to end eventually. We have to focus on the game to come only. That is the one with PSG at the moment. Home team can't count on Ibrahimovic today, but that doesn't change anything for us. I expect them to be able to play at out level, Ibrahimovic or no Ibrahimovic. PSG are not a team you can do well against if not doing your best. We need to do things perfectly in Paris - Martinez said.

Barcelona have no problems with injuries, with Luis Suarez remaining the only player they still can't count on. Vermaelen and Rafinha still struggled with injuries last week, but since there's no news about that, they are expected to be on the team. Their third-choice goal keeper Masip is injured.

As for the line-up, the only surprising decision is Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is supposed to be on the goal instead of Claudio Bravo. The German was in the line-up only against APOEL this season, while Brava played every single championship match. It seems Ter Stegen will remain Barcelona's first choice for the Champions League.
