Wisla are in a somewhat better situation. They dealt with Besiktas very fast so Cadenas could rotate his team. Stal played a difficult meeting against Gornik, against whom they've lost. The hosts' victory is carved in stone, but the only question is - by how many points

Wisla have, as expected, played out Besiktas in the first round of the LP with a convincing win with nine points of difference. Since the beginning there was a big difference between them and the Turkish team. Still, we can't say that Wisla went head in from the first second; quite the opposite from what we're used to see. The defense was standing tall and was very mobile. According to that, they've often run into counterattacks which were excellently thrown by Coralles. After only 15 minutes the score was 9-4 from Wisla, who kept the advantage until the break.



The high advantage put them in a great position during the beginning of the second part. Cadenas demanded calmness and patient attacks, and after some time it started to look like it was the hosts' practice. The game was settled very early so the host coach was able to do certain rotations. The conclusion was that Wisla could've done a lot worse to Besiktas if they had wanted to.


-I'm glad that the players entered the match fully concentrated. Besiktas looked a bit tired in the second part of the game, so I had to use up all of my players and thus keep the rhythm of the game which was probably a bit too fast for them - said Cadenas.


But, there was not much time for rest. Today they have to play this match, and on Sunday they're in for a hard away game against Barcelona.


Stal may not be the most pleasant opponent they could've gotten at this moment. Of course it's hard to expect that the guests will be able to do something today, but they are a team who runs a lot, are extremely motivated and against whom Wisla will have to break a sweat or two.


After three consecutive wins, Stal have fallen. They've lost in a home game against Gornik who have shown as the better team at the moment when they were playing without Jurasik,


All Stal were so far good in, they've messed up. The defense was catastrophic, s well at the offensive organization. Gornik was also a lot faster and scored a greater number of points from counterattacks. In general, at this moment Stal have shown that there is a big difference between them and Gornik. At the break time, the score was 20-15 for the away team, and although they've looked somewhat better during the second part of the game, they still made too many mistakes and missed a great number of chances, from the game as well as from the penal shots.


-The reason of our defeat is very simple. We made error after error, and Gorik knew how to use that against us. At least half of their scores came from our mistakes - Lypka was loud and clear.


Today they're up against another hard mission. In the last six seasons never have they beaten Wisla, and never have they been close to surprising them. Last season they've lost in the away games with eight and 16 points of difference. They also played on Saturday, but it was much harder for them than for Wisla who were able to rest most of their players.
