In the first match Skovde had one of their best players (Helgesson) in the game just for the second half, and that was enough for the score to go from equal to +10 for her team. Who knows how Skanela will fare today if Hegelsson plays the first half as well

At the very end of last year these two teams played their first match of this season, one Skanela will try to soon forget as they almost broke their own bad record. The most Skanela conceded this season was 37 against Savehof, while Skovde scored just one under that number in the previous duel. It was a match with two completely opposite halves for Skanela.

- We played fantastic offense in the first half, but then ruined it all in the second part. Our offense had no flow, nor did we return to defend properly- noted assistant coach Soderberg.

The score progression is the best indicator of how Skanela played that match. They took the halftime break with the score 17-14, quickly managed to equalize to 17-17 at the start of the second half, but then it was like another team began to play. Skovde started to utterly dominate the court and soon built up a 26-19 lead, which increased to 31-21 in just a few minutes. This was not even their biggest lead of the game, in the very finish they held 34-23.

- You can't win a game without returning to defend. We've proven that today and I'm very sorry we did, primarily because you should be capable of winning if you can score 26 goals against Skovde, and not losing with such a margin- said Skanela's strategist, who will once again act as the main coach, as Lundin is on vacation.

Prior to the match, Soderberg says his team have only one goal:

- Victory! I'm convinced we can take points at home!

 In order to achieve that, Skanela primarily have to find a way to stop Malin Larsson. She scored exactly 10 points in their last duel and was by far the biggest danger for Skanela.

- She had a really fantastic match, I'm very pleased with her performance. This was a crucial match in term of points we needed, so I'm even more pleased she played well in this particular game- said Skovde's strategist Frisk after the game.

However, stopping her is not a simple matter, as Skovde also have Helgesson and Johansson on their roster, who are both very experienced and will certainly be able to use the extra room that should/would be created if Skanela focus more on Larsson. This will be the biggest challenge for Skovde's opponents today, while Larsson herself speaks about possible issues her team might have:

- We struggled a bit on defense against their quicker players, this is something we should work more on in order to be able to have quality control of the match later.

Skovde have some reserve due to the fact Helgesson played only in the second half, in the very period when they started to build up their lead. If she starts in the first period, Skovde should be even more dominant, and probably too big of a bite to chew for Skanela, who are slipping further away from playoff in terms of points. Judging by their performance in the first match against Frisk's team, their point total is unlikely to increase today, and we should also note that Skanela lost all five of their home games this season, usually by a large margin except against Vasteras, who won by 2 goals.
