Skuru had a great, OHK a horrible start

Skuru know that approach from the last match will probably see them win home

Onnereds did horribly in the first round after the break. They met Sparvagens home with a chance to basically secure their spot in the playoff but instead made everything extremely complicated. Spar and Jigenheim's team now have 8 points, just like two other teams. One of them won't make it in the playoffs.

- I think the fact Sparvagens played their match with Savenhof earlier was crucial. They were more motivated, while we still tried to get our bearings after the break. Out counterattack were horrible, just like our efficiency - coach Jigenheim said and added:

- We tried changing the pace and I expected us to make a comeback in the second half but we only got worse and lost in the end.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, it was quite clear that OHK won't be able to win home. They will be put to another tough test test today in the capital city as they meet Skuru, a team still aiming for one of the top spots, despite losing a few important players last summer. 

- We need better offense and better defense in order to stand up to them better. We need to be more fresh, we seemed extremely fatigued in the first match - visiting coach said.

They now meet the team that plays much faster-paced games than Spar. On top of that, Skuru will definitely get some advice from OHK's previous opponents since they're both from Stockholm and the coaches and players know each other very well. The only difference is in Skuru still having a slightly bigger individual quality compared to Spar and OHK.

- I think we are all well-aware that we need to do our best to record a win in this match. We can't do as we did last round, with a lot of our players being well under their usual level. We need a much better approach and much better decision-making - Jigenheim said.

While OHK didn't do their best, Skuru proved they won't have any mercy against weaker opponents as they met Skanela. They took a 4-0 lead only 6 minutes into the game and kept that up for the next 10 minutes. After that, they got even better to end the half time at 14-7.

- That was the right approach. We needed that in this match and we need it against Onnereds. If we managed to open the game as well once again, I'm sure we'll do fine.  We can't afford to relax later in the game, which is another segment we did well in the last game - coach Skogang said.

The most shocking thing about the Skanela match was Stromberg playing after recently undergoing a hearth surgery. She said she is supposed to take it easier but played anyone to be one of the key factors in the fierce opening. She was given some time off after that and if this match goes as planned, won't be spending much time in the game.

Skuru kept on doing well last game even we she was on the bench, even managing to get 10 points ahead at one point in the game to prove what Skogang said early in the season. He claimed they no longer have individual quality because they are now a true team.
