Hammarby are known for their fast pace, a complete opposite of what Ricoh prefer. The away team are confining in a very strong defense, they don't risk too much with transitions. Their attacks in their first match used to last up to a full minute

Tonight it's going to be exciting with Hammarby against the newcomers from Ricoh - this will be Hammarby's second derby. The first went to Hammarby with a score of 27-21, but that match was played in September. A few weeks after that Ricoh's strategist Linnell confirmed that his team had finally stabilized. Ricoh finally started to win and now they're almost out of the Kvalserien zone.

- Ricoh are a good team, they have a great defense. But, we don't have to focus on them, but on our game. And that means speed and aggressiveness - said captain Wennell, and added:

- We don't have injured players, everyone is available to coach Matsson.

Except for the standard players, he will also have the newly-arrived left back Baak who has lately only been praised. It's a player of excellent shape, and he will help with the offense. But, a single player can't beat Ricoh - everyone is clear on that.

- It's going to be a dramatic match. We're not interested in game quality, it's key to get the two points, jut like we did against RIK in the last round - added the home captain.

Hammarby didn't have it easy that time, it was a minimum win, but it's still enough to keep them at a good position for the play-offs. No one can guarantee them the win because this year Elisterien is very leveled out so the 11th placed Ricoh is only four points behind their 6th placed opponents for today.

If Ricoh beat them today, it will complicate the situation on the table. If the away team lose, their play-off dream will be harder to reach. Today they will have a full hall against them because Hammarby's team decided to introduce some additional programs. 

For the 75th Club Anniversary they've come up with a new intro for their team. This match is no accident - there's no bigger rivalry between the city's two greatest clubs.

- We expect to get the new support from the fans with the new intro we have, that's something what could take us to victory - said manager Lindberg.

Will that support really have an effect we're yet to see, but the fact is that Ricoh have in their team players with over a 100 matches in the Swedish A Selection. Some of the problems may spring for younger players on the bench. But, they should keep an eye on Hammarby's tempo because Ricoh's primary seven can't score the points alone.

- In the last match against Guif we've suffered a heavy defeat. I believe the players will thus try to pull more out of themselves in order to succeed - said coach Linnell.

His team doesn't like to think about the match against Guif. It was the first match of the season where Ricoh kept their advantage with offense. In the first part they scored 17 points, and had a 17-14 advantage. Later Linnel's team scored another three points, went to +6 and it seemed they're done. But then it got rough - five 2-minute suspensions in which the opponents recuperated.

- I have a feeling that the suspension criteria wasn't the same on both sides, but what's more worrying is that we defended ourselves with one player less. Or better yet, how we didn't defend ourselves because Guif completely controlled the match - added Linnell.

It was a match in which Ricoh stagnated as the match came to its end. A bad intro before today's duel because Hammarby's tempo is hard to follow. There's no doubt that Ricoh will focus on their strong defense and will be looking for a longer attack. They almost did the same in the first match when their offenses lasted up to a full minute.

I expect the margin is somewhat higher (for Ricoh's frames) because Hammarby announced the race. But, they did the same thing before the first match and the game remained at 48 goals. Ricoh are simply not a team who would allow anyone to run around them; they have a good number of experienced players to succeed in obtrude their own rhythm. Also, we should keep in mind that this is the Swedish capital derby, today the duel will be followed by additional special effects - it all comes to the fact that both sides will be pumped up, and I don't see a lot of goals in such a scenario.
