A duel of the weakest teams in the group

One of these two teams will get what will probably be their only win on this tournament which could only determine the final order in the group but nothing else. Both teams have shown glimpses of good performances but it was not enough in comparison with other teams

As was expected, Venezuela were defeated by Argentina. They had firm control over their opponents in the first set with their aggressive serve that wreaked havoc on the reception. When they relinquished the lead in the final stages of the set, the Argentines were very relieved and could bring the match to a close in a routine manner.

- The first set was almost perfect and we were very close to winning it. I think we should work on some aspects, such as block. I hope we will show more in upcoming matches - said team captain Pinerua.

Pinerua was their most efficient player with 17 points and the only one who stood out. Even though he's nominally an opposite, he provided his team with the only two blocks. Apart from him, no player was even close to a double-digit score.

- I'm sorry we fell apart in the third set. Up until then, we did relatively alright, but we lost faith in our abilities in the final stages. My team is very young and this is a chance for them to prove their real worth - said coach Vicenzo Nacci.

Cameroon had a good start against Australia but they were limited to just one good set. Like their opponents, they did alright as long as their opponents kept making the mistakes. Once Australia pulled their ranks, the matter of the winner was settled.

Even though Cameroon sound like complete outsiders in the world of volleyball, they made several highlight-worthy moves. They had a couple of aces followed by a couple of excellent combinations, but it would all fall apart as they would get 3-4 rookie mistakes in a row. They didn't do well against Australia's float serve and they lacked attacking diversity.

Their coach Nonnenbroich surely knows the capabilities of his team and he was not satisfied after the match.

- This was an important match for both teams and Australia deservedly won. But even in my worst nightmares I couldn't imagine my players playing so poorly. It's as if we didn't play at all.

Cameroon's chances were marred by a high tally of errors (24). Jean Patrice Ndaki led his team with 12 points, while Wounembaina and Kody added 9 each.

Whoever loses this match will surely end up as the last-placed team and the winners should be just one step above. Despite occasional glimpses, these are the worst teams in the group. They haven't played a single H2H match so far.
