Villarreal come to Santiago Barnabeu in a good mood

Real confirmed their first place, but after Barcelona celebrated yesterday, they now need a new win

Real got us used to seeing them crush their opponents at the beginning of the season, but after they got defeated in a derby against Atletico, the results have been a bit different. In the last three duels, the Kings got three identical 2-0 wins, where Elche werethe last victim, last week. The team from Madrid used Barcelona's mistake, and reinforced the first place again.

Real got those wins against Elche, Schalke and Deportivo, but today, they're facing a tougher test against Villarreal who've been great this season. The coach Carlo Ancelotti knows it well:

- Villarreal are a team with a lot of quality, they play very good football, they are well organised and have good players. They've already beaten Atletico and played well against Barcelona. They are a top La Liga side. We need our strongest team out there and to play as best as we can in order to win. 

The Italian coach had lots of injury-induced absences lately, and tonight won't be an exception. But, the good news is that Fabio Coentrao will be back tonight. Luka Modrić is recovering too, he was expected tonight, but will have to stay patient for a little while more. Sergio Ramos, Sami Khedir, and James Rodriguez are still out.

Villarreal had a thicker schedule last week than the home team, but after two wins, they come to the Spanish capital in a great mood. First they celebrated routinely 1-0 against Eibar, then they got the fantastic 3-1 win in Salzburg in the Europa League, which took them to the next phase of the competition. 

- We're in a good form and the mood is really awesome in the team, so we're optimistic when coming to Bernabeu. We're playing against one of the strongest teams in the world, and we know how hard it will be, but it's in the spirit of the sports to be hoping - the guests' goalie Sergio Asenjo announced.

Marcelino Garcia Toral can't rely on Bruno Soriano, Bojan Jokić and Adrian Marino, but there will be two other important absences, too. The first one is the Serbian back Antonijo Rukavina who's injured, and the second one is the Russian offensive player Denis Čerišev. The Russian is also on a contract with Real, so he can't play against his own club anyway.
