Sevilla still with injury-struggles

Unai Emery is convinced they can record a win over Cordoba regarldes of the problems

Injury-decimated Sevilla failed to leave Madrid undefeated as they met Getafe last Sunday. They lost 2-1 to allow Valencia to claim spot 4 and are now set to try and get back in the 4th place in a local derby match with Cordoba.

The situation regarding injuries is significantly better at Sevilla today, though still isn't even close to ideal. But let's start with good news first. Emery will have winger Vidal, center back Carrico, and offensive midfielder Vitolo back at his disposal today while Juan Antonio Reyes recovered from an injury. Goal keeper Beto, Coke, M'Bia, Tremoulinas, Gameiro, and Cristoforo are all still out. Figueiras will be out with a suspension today.

- What else is there to say about all the injuries. Getting points and getting back on the right path will be the best solution for the situation we are in. Cordoba are a tricky team, just like Levante or Eibar. Those are teams that need every single point they can get which pushes them into doing their best in every game. Visitors proved they can be very good but I'm sure we can win today - Unai Emery said regardless of the problems.

Cordoba got better since Miroslav Djukic took over, but that didn't last long since they lost the last three games to get back to being the second-worst team in the table. The defeat two rounds ago to a rival in the race for avoiding relegation Almeria was particularly painful.

Visiting goal keeper Martin knows Sevilla are the favorite, but...

- Yes, Sevilla are fighting for Champions League and they're definitely the favorite. But our situation doesn't allow us to give up on any game, no matter the opponents. We now need to look for points even when meeting teams against which we don't stand a chance. We're in for a tough task, but we won't allow Sevilla to get the points just like that!

Center back Inigo Lopez is back after being out for nearly two months. Iago Bouzon is back from before, while Italian midfielder Rossi won't be there with a suspension.
