Newly promoted teams that will fight to avoid relegation this season

Four new signings joined Deportivo during the international break, but we have to see what their game is going to be like following a less than brilliant start to the season

When it comes to market value, Eibar are the cheapest team in the Spanish Primera, with most experts expecting relegation for the Basque club at the end of the season. But Eibar's first and second round performances were brilliant and we now have to wait and see whether that was just the opening enthusiasm or they can actually keep it up. Eibar were defeated last round to champion Atletico, but the visiting team did very well at Vicente Calderon, having lost only because of the mistakes they made.

Following their opening meetings with Socieded and Atletico, Eibar are finally facing a team close to them quality-wise. It's another newly-promoted club Deportivo.

- We were fighting for top spots in the Segunda last year with Deportivo, and now we're going to fight them to avoid relegation. I would like it if this season would end similarly - with both of us avoiding relegation, and us winning in our head to head game just like last year when I scored both goals for my team (Eibar won 2-1 home). We did very well in Madrid and lost anyway, so today I would be happy with a less brilliant performance that would result in a win - home team's forward Arruabarrena said.

According to the information available, the Basque team will have all the players at their disposal.

Deportivo had a bit worse start to the season than their opponent, having recorded only one point so far despite scoring the opener in both of their games. They failed to stay ahead against Granada in the season opener, and managed to salvage the one point against Rayo as Isaac Cuenca scored from a penalty kick four minutes into injury time.

- This game could be our turning point. A win could give us momentum for the next games. We have to be brave at Ipurui, do a good game, and win. Not many new signings joined Eibar over the summer, but they kept their key players, only adding a few brilliant new signings on the list. That is precisely our problem - it's quite clear we need more time to get our game organized - visiting team's coach Fernandez said.

There will be quite a few changes in visiting team's line up for this game. During the international break, forward Helder Postiga, defenders Juanfran Moreno, Sidnei, and Diakite joined the team. Fernandez took four of them to Eibar, leaving Juan Carlos Real and Seoane in A Coruna.

Luis Farina and Cuenca struggled with injuries during the week but both will be on the list today. Diogo, Pablo Insua, and Lucas Perez have been injured since the start of this season, and it doesn't seem like we'll see them on the pitch any time soon.
