Italy struggled to beat Canada, but in the end did lead by the brilliant Datome. Bosnia recorded 16 turnovers against Serbia, and conceded 40 points from the key, while twice as less

It was not easy, but Italy have recorded their 9th win in their 10th Eurobasket preparation game last night. They hosted Canada in their base in Trieste at the beginning of the tournament. Canada did very well in the first half, having been 6 points up by half time.

But, thanks to their key player Datome, Italy scored 15 points, while at the same time not allowing Canada to score any, soon leaving the opponent 5 points down. Canada didn't score for 7 minutes. Late third period, the score was 52-48 for Italy, they had everything under control, and won in the end.

- It was a tough game for us. We were a bit worried at half time, because we made some mistakes that affected our confidence, but we did much better in the second half. Another good thing about this game, except for the win, is the will my players displayed in the attempt to catch up by playing good defense and a good game in the second half. I hope that will boost their confidence even more. We're not the kind of a team to win the games by 20 points, but if we have the chance to win as the game comes to its end, we know how to use that chance - coach Pianigiani said.

Datome was the most efficient player at his team with 22 points, Aradori scored 16, and Gentile added 12, with a bad shooting efficiency (3/10). The Italians scored 6 three pointers out of 17 attempts. They recorded 12 assists, but the opponents were better at rebound. They recorded only 9 turnovers.

Today Italy meet Bosnia and Herzegovina, a team they already beat in one preparation game. They won at the tournament in Sarajevo (75-70). Bosnia lost yesterday as well, in the first round against Serbia. The Serbians controlled the game, except at the very start. Bosnia started doing better when Teletovic came on, but that only last for a short period of time.

Bosnia struggled with the opponent's defense a lot. They managed to score only 10 points in the second quarter, and by half time they were already 12 points down. The score was 65-50 for Serbia 10 minutes before the end, and the game was already settled at that point.

It's no surprise that Teletovic did best at Bosnian team (19 points). He scored 7 shots out of 18 attempts (3/9 in three point attempts), and added 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Besides him, only Mitrovic (11), and Kikanovic (10) recorded double digits.

The main problem at Bosnia were turnovers. They recorded 16 of them, allowing Serbia to score 24 points as a result. Besides, Serbia scored 40 points from the key despite the fact Krstic wasn't in the game. Bosnia scored only 20. That proved just how much they miss Nurkic.
