Last year, these two teams had 60 goals total in an important match of the group phase of the competition. Compared to that match, the Slovenians are stronger with two extremely important offensive links - the pivot Blagotinsek and the only left-handed right back Janc, both from Celje. As usual, the Slovenians play fast, create great counter attacks through Ovnicek, and pretty simply create situations where they can score. On the other hand, their defense isn't that great. True, they conceded 21 against Hungary, but the Hungarians played poorly, struggling against a mobile opponent. Today, they have Sweden on the other side, lead by the lower back line Olsson - Konradsson - Zetterman, who definitely like faster games and will accept it. Compared to the last year WC, their defense are suffering because of the first goalie Kraft and pivot Rhodin's absences. Also, we should mention that the Slovenians have a much better back shot compared to the WC, so it's hard to see a scenario where this match would end under 55 goals. If someone is cautious about under because of the importance of this match, a good option is a counter handicap for Slovenia with the same stake.
