Vujović: I can rely on all the players for the first time since I came

- We are Veszpre and we'll play to win to end the regular part without losing a point - Alilović said. This match is far more important for Zagreb who have to fight for the third place

Zagreb defeated Kiel, PSG, and Vardar at home this season. Three great candidates for the Champions League final tournament. Today, they are hosting what might be the greatest candidate. They'll try to get the third place by defeating Veszprem in the Arena. Many things should coincide, first Meškov losing points because Zagreb are weaker than Meškov in points, and Meškov have a real easy schedule till the end. Veszprem come to Varaždin with no pressure because they already secured the first place. However, judging by how Ortega lead the matches this season, and when we know they have important Champions League matches coming, then we can conclude that the Spaniard will bring a strong team here nonetheless.

- Veszprem are the leader of the league, they didn't lose a single game, and they won a tough group of the CL convincingly. Every player is a threat - coach Vujović announced. His team didn't look good or motivated in two matches against Metalurg in Skopje, but they won anyway. They had 14-5 at the half-time of the second match.

- We showed a few times this season that we play better against stronger teams, and we weren't that good against teams our equals or weaker - Vujović said, and he couldn't be more right.

- Either way, I'll ask the players to give their best, play a good game, so that a good result we might get can be a base for what's coming in SEHA and the Champions League later on.

Vujović revealed that for the first time since he came to coach, he can rely on all 19 players. That means Domagoj Pavlović and Sandro Obranović will play. That then means there'll be less pressure on Joso Valčić. For us, the big enigma is how Vujović plans to rotate because there are also Mandalinić and Čelica, and three other left-handed backs.

The Hungarians crushed Meškov in an away match in the last match of the SEHA league, with 29-17. Mikler had 45% (14/31), Marguč lead the scorers (7/9), Nagy scored five out of seven, Sulić four out of five... the middle back Chema came back, he didn't play in Montpellier...

Only two days after Meškov, the Champions League started in Hungary. They hosted the weak Orosházi and left them at 17 goals, winning by 18 goals difference. Alilović played the entire match (13/30), Marguč was the first scorer again (6/8), and Nilsson scored just as many (6/7). Moša Ilić wasn't in the rotation.

- Matches against Zagreb are always intense because they're a young and good team. Their defense is great, they conceded the fewest goals in the Champions League, which speaks for itself - Ortega was careful. 

- I expect a great match. We won SEHA league in the regular part, but we want to continue the winning streak. We're definitely facing a tough challenge because Zagreb are very good with Vujović.

The goalie Alilović told something similar:

- Zagreb are always dangerous at home, especially now that they want to end the season as third. We'll play relaxed, with no pressure. But we're Veszprem and we'll play to win to end the regular part without losing a point.

Zagreb are a pretty humble team offensively, and if Veszprem play a hard defense like they're wont to do, Vujović's players will have lots of problems to be solved.
