The German knows how tough this draw is but he finds hope in the fact he has been successful here before. Muller has, on the other hand, never been ranked better. He won his second ATP title this season

He's once again on the road into Top 30 but is still prone to slips. He squandered away a big lead in Davis Cup against Darcis and then disappointed with his performance against Klizan in conditions which might suit him best. 

- I had some health problems early this season. I retired a few times and pulled out but that is all in the past. I'm fully fit now.

He beat Muller in both matches. The first one took place 15 years ago.

- I'm in for a tough match at the very start. He is a serve and volley player, which is tricky. He's been doing his best lately. On the other hand, I always did well here and I like the conditions. I think we have an equal chance. 

Kohnlschreiber reached semis and QFs the last two times he was here.

Muller

He won his first title at the start of the season and has lost only to top players at the last three tournaments. 

Even though he's never been doing better, he was 13-12 on hard court last season. Last and this season, he has a bad record with Top 50 players (18-22). Only 8 of those was against Top 10 players. Neither him nor his German opponents have never been in the Top 10.
