Not even Johnson, who knew how to stand up to Sock previously in his career, did manage to stop him this time. Moreover, this is the third win maximum win in a row in DB for Sock.

We saw five breaks in the first set, something untypical for both players. Still, Jack did one more, more than enough for the first set. When they got into the serve rhythm, there were less chances on the return, so the second set was decided in a tie-break which Sock did more convincingly. He quickly reached 5-1 and there was no coming back for Johnson.

- Today's first set was so untypical for all of our previous matches where the serve was the dominating factor. The serve worked really well in the second set, I was aggressive and I'm very pleased with winning in two sets - said Sock.

Young

Considering that he finished the last season among the Top 100 based on his strength, the impression is that Young is slowly, but surely, getting the swing on the homeland tour.
