The Canadian has 8-2 lead in head-to-heads, but Sock won the last one. The American claims that he is filled with confidence after winning the title at the start of the season, and Raonic is aware that he will have a difficult job, and that it was always suspenseful

Raonic's record in finals is 8-11, this season he lost only to top players, but last season he recorded five defeats on hardcourt to players outside the Top 20. Among these is a defeat to Sock in Shanghai.
