Dimitrov recorded his 7th straight win

The Frenchman is 5-1 but he lost the last match. Dimitrov seemed lost for the most part of the last season when he beat Gasquet. He is bursting with confidence at the moment

He had quite a lot of back problems last season which is why he skipped this tour. This preseason seems to have been good for him. He won the Hopman Cup and has two convincing wins at the first Grand Slam of the season so far. Two years ago, the Argentine got 5 games and finished with just 3 this time.

- I did well. I didn't use too much energy and that's important. Berlocq played worse than expected. He made a lot of mistakes but he got his game up in the third set. I didn't let him pick up his pace - France's player said and added:

- I am ready and healthy and that's the most important thing.

He won the first five meetings against Dimitrov, having dropped just two sets. But the Bulgarian won their last season's meeting.

He opened the new season fiercely but he had to work hard for the 7th straight win. He got just one game in the first set, got a break down in the second and broke his opponent in the forth just to end up letting him get back in. However, the new-found confidence got him through this time:

- Chang opened fiercely in the first set. He was really great and that deserves respect. I felt like I had things under control in the second set. There was no panic, no nervousness and I have to say that it felt nice. When you believe in your game so much, not even your opponent playing great is worrying. 

He seems to have reinvented himself. The title from Brisbane and three straight Top 10 wins are good enough reason for him to believe in another win.
