Troicki went from brilliance to desperation and back in the opener

Despite a dominant opening, he managed to get things complicated against Dzumhur. Lorenzi is playing his best game

He once again proved to play a game of many ups and downs in the opening AO match.

He took a 2-0 lead relatively easily and then allowed Dzumhur to get back in the match. Viktor got into a strange crisis, like so many times before, and got just 4 games in the next two sets. 

What we saw was a close 5th set but Troicki managed to tip the scales in his favor by breaking Dzumhur in the 8th game to record the win. He had everything under control and nearly allow the opponent to beat him, but that's Viktor. 

- I disappeared both mentally and physically in the third and fourth set. I managed to reboot during the break and get back to my previous level and win - Troicki said.

Lorenzi

He has had a magical season and is now enjoying a Top 50 ranking.

He had a very favorable draw at the start. Home favorite Duckworth isn't someone with considerable Grand Slam experience and Paolo managed to use that to beat him. 

The Italian won all the key moments apart from the third set tie-break to once again confirm to be a big fighter. The Australian managed to get a set but Paolo didn't allow him more than that. Interestingly, that was only the second AO win for him. 

A week ago in Sydney, Troicki outplayed the Italian rather easily. He is the favorite this time as well but his lack of consistency is normal and Lorenzi can definitely count on that today.
