Even before Konjuh made it into main draw, I knew which tip I would take with higher stake in the first round. Granted, the Croat is not doing as well as expected and she can and has to do better, which is what I expect in Prague since the conditions here clearly suit her. She tied three wins, got her confidence level up and she really does well on the court. Besides, she knows she can beat Bencic, just like when there were still juniors. Bencic is not doing very well. She does have better results than Konjuh in the past few months but her game is not as convincing as it was two months ago. She will try and play longer rallies to fore Konjuh into a mistake but it seems like Konjuh will use the upper hand she has at service and maybe even win. Bencic offers too much in her games and Konjuh will know how to take advantage of that. I therefore have to go with counter-handicap.
