It's an understatement to say that these teams know each other well, but I think they never faced each other with these rosters. Australia consists of national league players, while New Zealand came with a younger team (age average of 23), and their oldest player is 26 years old.
Australia are the favorites today, which is deserved considering their performances in Beirut. But I would set a higher handicap because I think Australia are much better in all positions, except point guard. They have easily defeated their opponents so far, except maybe Chine (the tallest team here). This is a bad match-up for New Zealand who will not be able to run into the paint like they did against other, less quality teams. If this was their task, Australia would easily be the best defensive team here, but they accepted a faster pace because they know they are offensively better than other teams. New Zealand's three pointers are under 30%, and if they are not closer to 40% today, which is unlikely, they will fare similarly to other teams that faced the Boomers and lost by at least 26 points, and I wouldn't say New Zealand are better than Japan, who are similar to Korea, against whom NZ lost.
Australia's team over is a good option, but the best option is the overall handicap because I doubt New Zealand have enough ammo to keep up for 40 minutes.
