Chile opened brilliantly against Germany as Sanchez scored 5 minutes into the game. They were dominant in the first half but in spite of that, Germany managed to equalize towards the end. It seems like both teams were happy with the point, since we saw a much calmer game in the second half.A point put Chile in a great situation while another one today guarantees them a spot in the semis. 

Pizzi said his team wants to beat Australia:

- Our goal is to wear out Australia and then finish them off. I think they will struggle to keep up with us. We were out of breath against Germany but that's no wonder, it is Germany after all.

Johnny Herrera was on the goal once again but Bravo is allegedly ready to start today. Medel had some minor problems after Germany but he is fit to play too. Coach Pizzi's only worry is Jean Beausejour, Gonzalo Jara and Alexis Sanchez running the risk of not playing the semis if they get booked today.

Australia did rather well against Germany but they were less than brilliant against Cameroon even though they managed to get a point in the end. The first half was particularly troublesome but they managed to pull themselves together later on and get a draw. They now need a win but everything will still depend on the result from the other game. 

The team was written off by the media after the draw with Cameroon but coach Postecoglu would not agree:

- We are still in. I don't see a reason for us to give up. We can get through if we win. We lacked organization against Cameroon and we need to make that better now. 

Australia are injury-free but a demanding schedule will probably see them make some changes to the lineup.
