Union Olimpia's coach Okorn says they want to improve the bad impression from the Rogaška game. That saw them fall behind Krka after the second round of Champions League and they don't have too much room for new mistakes. The team from Ljubljana is complete and completely focused on the SLovenian championship in which they beat Helios by 8 and 7 (when incomplete), while they won the last game over them in cup QFs by 17 (12 at halftime). Their approach was not as serious because of the big lead from the first game and won by 6 (9). Olimpija were not complete then either and Domzale were much more competitive than today.
After losing in Cup QFs and securing Champions League, Helios decided to try and deal with their debts so they let some very important players go. Curry (11,9 points and 5,6 assists on average) left earlier, followed by Jones who recorded 18 points in that cup game. He was by far their best player (hit 30 in the first championship game in Ljubljana). The average in the championship was 15,5 points. They recently terminated Kyzlink's contract as well (average of 11,2 points). Remekun is out with an injury as well so Helios became a team with no foreigners overnight. They have very young players now and it's no wonder the coach said they're in for a very tough week because the domestic U19 championship finals come right after it.
