France have not had much problems in any game at the tournament, while Norway had to save themselves in the semi-final against Croatia. Two weeks ago, France won easily in the group stage

The thing that was expected and predicted since the tournament started has become reality - France are one step away from another World Cup gold. The way they played in the tournament was impressive, with all 8 wins and without any problems. If we look at their performance alone, they had better tournaments, but no one could come close anyway.

They played their most difficult game of the tournament in the quarter-final against Sweden, they didn't have things under control until the last 10 minutes, but the semi-final against Slovenia was a different story. It was obvious from the start that Slovenia can hardly keep up with them, they stopped their transition and Slovenia couldn't do much against the zone. They had a 5 goal lead at the end of the first half, and then in the second they routinely kept that lead and didn't give Slovenia an inch of room for hope of a comeback.

- The game was very intense, and there are no favorites in the semi-final. We demonstrated focus and quality, despite the fact I kept some important players on the bench. We won a medal, but the title is our goal - said Dinart. 

Gerard was on the goal the entire game, Omeyer only for two 7 meter throws, something that was very rare for France in the past years. Gerard made 16 saves and was one of the best players. 

- No one has a secure spot in the starting lineup, that is our philosophy and we have confidence in each other. Gerard was great in the second half against Sweden and he was the logical choice today - said Dinart. 

Only he knows their lineup for today, whether Mahe or Guigou will start at the wing, will Dipanda, Porte or Remili start as right-back, Sorhaindo or Fabregas as pivot... One thing is for sure - whoever is on the field, France are one level above everyone at this championship.

- Norway have shown great things, they are a great team, and it will be difficult physically. They are great mentally, have a great goalkeeper, and they are the toughest opponents we faced here. They are great offensively, have a lot of good scorers - Dinart announced the game. 

France played a quality game against Norway in the group stage and left them without a chance. They were in the lead by 4 at halftime, and soon in the second half by 7. Dinart rotated a lot and Norway managed to reduce the lead.

That was Norway's only defeat at this competition, they have improved since then, but it is hard to predict if that will be enough to surprise Les Experts. 

Norway are a force for the future, that is obvious. Even though they weren't supposed to be at this tournament, because Slovenia eliminated them in the qualifiers, they got the wild card and used it in the best possible way. This is their first ever men's handball medal at a big competition, and considering their quality and youth in Berge's team, they will win a few more. 

They played a great tournament, improved in the knock-out stage and demolished Macedonia and Hungary with great defense, excellent Bergerund and incredibly fast transition. 

In the semi-final they played the best game of the tournament against Croatia, a game in which everything was even and details decided the winner. Norway struggled against the zone, hardly got a chance to shoot, but they scored a lot from counterattacks and semi-counterattacks. They used Croatia's slow returning to defense and their defense-offense substitutions and made their job easier. Norway also played great defense, regular time ended 22-22. Croatia were in the lead by 2 in the last 10 minutes, had a few chances for a lead by 3, but Norway were focused and stayed in the game. Horvat had a 7 meter throw for the win after time ran out, but Bergerun saved for overtime. In the second overtime Norway finally broke down tired Croats who could barely walk after the great battle- 

- This is a great success for us, it was crazy! We were never in the WC semi-final, most of us aren't in big European clubs and this is a dream for us - said O'Sullivan and continued about their chances in the final:

- To be honest, they are the favorites, they have world class players and they are the hosts, we can hardly threaten them, but I like the challenge. 

- It is incredible that I got the chance to play in the final so late in my career, but I never stopped believing. We were lucky today, when our goalkeeper saved that 7 meter throw I thought "This is our year". I don't want to think about France, just want to go to bed with this great feeling - said Myrhol, their most experienced player, team leader and a man who did a great job in the offense in the final moments. 

They will not score so many goals from counterattacks because France are, with them, the most potent running team at the tournament. If they play against the zone like they did in previous game, things will not be good for them, and France won't miss the chance to decide the game in key moments. But Norway have an advantage in one segment. 

- They can lose everything today, and we have nothing to lose. The game at Nantes showed that we can cause problems for them - said Berge.
