Hungary seriously threatened Denmark in the preparation match before the World Championship

Landin, Henrik Toft Hansen, Mikkel Hansen and Sondergraad were at the bench, but Denmark had the wish to win, so later they turned a -5 into a win. Olsen and Lasse Andersson got certain playing time and they should be ready for the key part of the championship.

The most important is yet to come, now there is no room for errors. The result of the second game on Friday didn't favor Denmark. They surely hoped Hungary would win, which would pair them up with Chile in the round of 16. Hungary are more serious opponents, Denmark had problems with them in the preparation match at home, a few days before the start of the World Championship.

At the time they recorded only eight goals in the first half, and they struggled in the second (at one point they were losing 14-10). They made a comeback after the referee made some decisions. In any case, they could have passed better considering the first place in the group.

- They have a very good team, there were some unexpected results in that group - said Gudmundsson, and continued:

- We can learn a lot form the recent clash with them and I hope we'll use some of that. We'll analyze them as best as we can.

- I can't say we're worried, but they are definitely opponents we respect - added Noddesbo.

As for Rene Toft Hansen, let's remind ourselves that by IHF regulation regarding certain uncertified equipment he was wearing on his elbow, the opponents have to vote whether he will play or not. Interestingly enough, he was one of the main players in the preparation match when he provoked Banhidi to be sent off, which was the turning point of the game. Hungary voted to let him play.

    It was speculated, and now it is confirmed. The Hungarians have brought Laszlo Nagy back to the roster, he missed a few games after he injured his ankle in the game against Germany. 

    - We treated him with all possible means and the situation is much better - said doctor Gabor Erdelyi.

    Nagy has been registered instead of lefty Gulyas, who got in the team in his place. That means that Sabate is again down to one right wing, Harsanyi.
