Liverpool are in a crisis. On Tuesday they're up for a game against Chelsea, and they want to win in the duel against second-league club Wolverhampton mostly for self-confidence. The away team knocked out Stoke in the third round and they don't want to give up without a fight

Liverpool are in a crisis, and it culminated with defeats by Swansea in the championship and by Southampton in the League Cup semi-finals, which really disturbed Jurgen Klopp and his players.

On Wednesday against Southampton after a long time not a single goal was recorded, and on Tuesday Liverpool are up for a crucial league match against the leading Chelsea. If they don't win in it, they can start saying goodbye to their championship dreams, and today's match in the FA Cup against second-league club Wolverhampton should serve as a boost of confidence, but also for improving the desperate efficiency of a single win in 2017, and that was against the fourth-league club Plymouth in the FA Cup.

- Surely there won't be ten changes among the starting eleven, but I don't know who will play because some players suffered lighter injuries against Southampton - said Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp who was very angry with some of the referee's decisions in that match.

The fact is that Klopp's line-up without Mane and with the groggy Coutinho is nowhere near their top level. That way it's very difficult to beat anyone, so even Wolverhampton today could prove to be tough opponents at Anfield.

- We have to do everything in order to leave our frustrations behind us, and to show undeniable quality. Of course I'm displeased with these results, but nevertheless I saw progress in some segments and I can easily say that I remain positive in thinking we'll defeat Wolverhampton today, which is very important for us at this point - Klopp was clear. He won't be able to use the injured midfielder Lallana, and defender Clyne is also questionable.

The second-league club Wolverhampton are 18th and they're close to the relegation battle, but in the third round of the FA Cup they knocked out the first-league club Stoke with a 2-0 away triumph.

It will be a big encouragement for Paul Lambert's team at Anfield, even though this could prove to be a tougher task since the opponents want to end the bad run. The away team will try to fight as hard as they can in order to prepare a potential surprise.

- We played great against Stoke, and now we're arriving at Anfield which acts very boosting and at which every player can enjoy and give his best - said the visiting manager Paul Lambert who is missing first goalkeeper Carl Ikeme due to booking, so he will be replaced by the young Harry Burgoyne.

- Liverpool are the favorites, but if we have a good day and a bit of luck, anything is possible. I'll ask my team to go forward whenever we can because we won't achieve anything with just defending ourselves - the visiting manager Lambert pointed out. In the last 13 matches against Liverpool Wolverhampton recorded only seven goals, while in the last seven head-to-heads they have five defeats and a single win.
