Teams' injury struggles bear uncanny resemblance

Both centers on both teams are injured today and it will be interesting to see which team will do better in the fast-paced 'guard' basketball

Alba found form recently. They are on a 7-game winning and the break from Eurocup did they well as it allowed them to focus on the German championship. Gaffeney recovered and the defense started doing well, which is no wonder they started recording better results. 

- The opponents might not be top level but or confidence grows with each next game - forward Miller said. He will be back after an injury.

Carl English fit it just fine and his three pointers get Alba's game a new dimension. That will be very necessary today because they seem to be headed into this game without two top centers Radosavljevic and Kikanovic.

Coach Caki was hoping for Kikanovic to be ready but then yesterday said there is no way that will happen.

Of course, that is a massive problem, especially when you face one of the best teams in Europe when it comes rebounding. Alba could have quite a few problems there:

- They are still an Euroleague team for me. Wherever I look, I see great players and it will be tough - Caki said.

Things won't be easy for Unicaja either. They lost the last three Eurocup road games and will now look for a way to end that losing run. Unicaja are doing very well lately as all players seem to be doing as coach Plaza wants them to. He has been very optimistic ahead of this game even though he admitted dealing with some unexpected injuries. 

- We want to go to Berlin to play at the top level. Sadly, there have been some injury struggles. Alba are very serious opponents and have a few new players. We'll have it tough there.

Interestingly, his two centers struggle with injuries, just like Alba's. First choice center Musli won't be there for sure, while N'Diaye is questionable as well. Both are dealing with muscle injuries, just like Alba's centers. We'll see which team will manage to do better in a game with no centers.
