Miami continue with good results

The win against the Suns brought them up to the eighth place in the East, but Whiteside got injured in it, so he could miss tonight's game. On the other hand, the Raptors will be without Ibaka who has to do one more suspension

Miami know that each of the 11 regular season games is very important. That's how they approached the one against the Suns whom they've beaten 112-97, but Whiteside's injury is what made the news. He earned 13 stitches on his fist, but luckily it's nothing serious. He could play today against the Raptors.

By half-time his team were at +13, and in the second half they raised it up to the max +24, winning without much trouble. Besides that, they managed to rest the starting line-up, so the reserves used the chance well, considering four of them were double-digit. The most efficient was Tyler Johnson with 17 recorded points. Reed recorded 12 with seven rebounds, Ellington 11, and James Johnson 10. The starters were led by Whiteside with 23 points and 14 rebounds, Dragic recorded 16, and Rihardson 14.

- It's obvious that Whiteside is our central figure. He's our first block and rebounder, and definitely a key player - said Willie Reed.

He should start out today in case Whiteside has to miss a few games, and he suffered a similar injury two years ago when he missed three games.

- The gash is in an uncomfortable area so we'll see - said coach Spoelstra.

With this win his team finally reached the eighth place in the East considering that the Pistons lost their game. But, in case Whiteside has to miss the game, and they're without Waiters too, their offense could be in trouble.

Tonight they will play the last out of a five-home game run, and the opponents will be the Raptors who two nights ago, after an 11-game losing run, finally beat the Bulls 122-120. But, the game was marked by a fist-fight between Lopez and Ibaka which suspended them from the game. Ibaka said he was only defending himself:

- I won't just sit by and watch a man try to hit me and walk away.

The fight occurred at +16 for Bulls, but the Raptors made a 15-0 run during the middle of the last quarter, earning thus overtime and won in the end. DeRozan led them to victory: he recorded 42 points, and with 38 shots he set the record. He also had eight assists.

Cory Joseph had the best evening since he became a starter thanks to Lowry's injury. He recorded 19 points. Ibaka recorded 16 points and six rebounds until he was suspended, while Carroll and Valanciunas recorded eight points each.

They played twice this season against Miami, and both teams recorded one win as the hosts. The Raptors won with 96-87, while Miami won around ten days ago with 104-89. The Raptors will be tonight without Ibaka who got suspended for one game, while Miami are still without Waiters.
