Love won't play his former team

A knee injury will keep him off the court until the All-Star weekend but the Cavs have enough players to choose from and will definitely be able to make up for his absence

The Wolves hope to get in a better position than this one before the All-Star break to increase their chances for playoffs later on. They recorded two wins in the last three games. The one over the Bulls (117-89) was particularly impressive.

They finished the game with 54 percent shooting and they beat coach Thibodeau's former team in both meetings of this season. 

- Playing some games is always tough. I really cheer for the Bulls and I wish them all the best when we're not playing them - Thibodeau said. 

They had a 17-point lead after the first quarter and at half time. Their lead went up to 30 points later on and won easily.

Wiggins did best with 27 points and 6 rebounds, while Towns added 22 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Rubio followed suit with 17 points and 11 assists, Bjelica added 16 from the bench, Muhammad 12 points. Dieng had 10 points and 13 assists. 

This is the last of 6 straight home games for the Wolves but the home team won't have a chance to see their former star Kevin love who had knee problems. He played the last game to finish with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in what was the 125-109 win for the Cavs. 

His team found rhythm int he first half and managed to find it early in the second half when they went on an 18-0 run to settle the game. 

As per usual, James did brilliantly to finish with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Irving hit 27 points, Korver added 14, Thompson 13 points and 13 rebounds. The newly-acquired Williams hit 7 points but he still managed to impress James.

- We're hoping this will be a long-term deal. We are hoping he will stay. He is only 25 and his best years are ahead - James said.

This is the 6th team Williams has been on and this is the best chance for him to win the title:

- I wanted to be on a winning team and this team is that. I never felt like that since I've been in the league. It feels good - Williams said. 

He will play an important role today since Love is out. The Cavs want to play the All-Star game in a better mood. The fact they beat the Wolves in the last 5 games is a good thing.
