The Cavs had a solution for Oklahoma last season

Even though their win/loss record is negative in January, the Cavs believe that they will continue winning tonight, and the key thing is to stop the triple-double machine, Westbrook

After three back-to-back defeats, the game against the Nets came at an ideal time for the Cavs. It was a more intense practice for them and they easily recorded 124-116 win. They were in the lead the entire game, except for one short period, and after a weaker first half after which they were in the lead by 6, they only needed about 15 minutes of serious approach in the second half. In the third quarter they created a 24 point lead, and they won only by 8 because they relaxed in the end. 

LeBron James said that this difficult January will be good for the team in the end.

- The path toward the title is never easy. I was never given anything and I don't expect that now. These situations will strengthen our character - said LBJ after he scored 31 points with 5 rebounds and 11 assists against the Nets. 

Kyrie Irwing was right behind him with 28 points and 6 assists, and Love compensated for his poor efficiency (13 points, 5/13 shots) with 14 rebounds. Thompson recorded double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Korver helped with 14 points from the bench. 

This was the start of four strenuous days for the Cavaliers, in which they will play three games, because after Oklahoma, they will play back-to-back game against Dallas. 

- We were thinking about resting some players, but I am not sure in which games. But we primarily want to win, and then we will think about resting - said coach Lue. 

Oklahoma will definitely be a challenge for them since they have Westbrook in the team, but James plays well against them, and last season he recorded 29 points and 11 rebounds in their head-to-heads. His numbers are not as good as Westbrook's, but Oklahoma's current form is also better. 

They recorded three back-to-back wins, and as it usually goes, Westbrook scored mercilessly. He scored 45 with 16/29 shots against the Mavericks, and he added 8 rebounds and 3 assists. He scored 17 points in the last 7 minutes of the game and stopped the Mavs' comeback. Oklahoma had 14 point lead at the start of the final quarter, and the Mavs came only 3 points behind. In the end Oklahoma won 109-98 without any drama. 

The bad news is that Canter is injured, he vented his frustrations on a chair and then later found out that his hand broke. He is the team's third top scorer and one of the best sixth players in the league. 

- This is a big blow. The way it happened is definitely unlucky, but he will come out of this even stronger - said Westbrook, and Adams, who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds, also commented:

- Of course he didn't want that. It's simply a moment in which it happened. It will be the hardest for him, and I am very sorry because of that. 

That will mean more playing time for young Sabonis, and Lauvergne will also get more chances from the bench. The Cavs and OKC have not faced each other this season, and last season the Cavs won both head-to-heads.
