CSKA going for the home floor advantage

Besides the result, the hosts are motivated to get even for the embarrassing defeat from the first part of the season. Darussafaka are fighting for the playoff, but they can hardly do anything for that today

Even though Darussafaka are intensively fighting for the playoff, they'll have a hell of a job today. Probably the toughest road game in the Euroleague will be even tougher today because a win would secure CSKA the home floor advantage in the quarterfinal, and besides, they want to get even for losing their first duel when CSKA played one of their worst games of the season even though they had their entire lineup there. 

They definitely still hold the grudge and will be motivated to get even with the Turks for that.

- This game is important for multiple reasons. We obviously want the home floor advantage, but we know that Darussafaka are an extremely talented team who beat us in our first duel, so that's an extra warning for us - the coach Itoudis said.

CSKA ended a 7-game winning run in the last round, losing to Baskonia, and that will also motivate them today. They only got one home defeat in the Euroleague this season, after the overtime against Fenerbahce. On the other hand, out of the last 10 Euroleague road games, Darussafaka won only once, so the trends are clear here.

The key problem for the Turks in the road games is that their defense is hollow. Out of 12 opponents, they only left two under 80 points, and that definitely cannot be encouraging before playing a road game against one of the offensively most powerful teams in Europe.

- CSKA are a tough opponent, they're the defending champions of Europe. But, we're in a situation where we have to win every game to get to the playoff. It's going to be a lot tougher than in the first game, but we believe in ourselves and we believe that we can surprise them - Darussafaka point guard Wanamaker said. He's definitely going to be the biggest danger for CSKA today.

Darussafaka have excellent Americans who can play great offensive and give a hard time to CSKA's back guards, but the key advantage for the Turks should be Ante Žižić because Hines and Augustine can't guard him, and he wasn't playing in their first duel. Since CSKA often jump out aggressively in the defense on pick with Hines, that opens up a lot of space in the paint, and Žižić should take advantage of that.

Darussafaka played without the injured Arslan and Bertans in their last championship game, but they're not that important. Wanamaker wasn't playing either, and he's ready now, which is big news for David Blatt's team.
