There are no words to describe the embarrassment for Maccabi at the moment. What they played in Istanbul against Galatasaray yesterday cannot be called basketball. To lose by 40 to the bottom-table team, to play in a way which simply suggests that you don't care and to bring shame to the shirt that is so highly valued in Europe is just despicable. 

- We were bad in every segment of the game. It was really really bad, embarrassing. We need to forget about this, we have a new game coming up in two days and we cannot think about this - Goudelock said.

- The boys are embarrassed, disappointed. This was a big game, we needed the win but it turned out to be a joke. They toyed with us in the last quarter. It was like a joke to them.

Weems almost broke the locker room door down, the Israeli media report that players have lost confidence to Bagatskis, who's been here for just a few weeks. They have to step out on the court in Tel Aviv tonight and hope the fans won't jeer at them. 

- As a coach, I'm trying to take responsibility. We talked for 45 minutes in the locker room. We needed more aggressiveness, more focus - Bagatskis said yesterday. 

- We talked about pride, we need to play for pride. Basketball is played for the team, for the fans, for money. But you need to play for respect as well. We had some balance between offense and defense in the last 4 games but we didn't have it in Istanbul.

He refused the idea that the season is over for them:

- Absolutely not. We are going to fight as long as there is a chance. We represent Maccabi and each game matters. I hope the next one will give us something different. We'll start with the basics.

Center Zirbes left, Miller didn't play in Istanbul and we don't know if he'll play today.

- Langford is the best scorer in Europe. They have three new players compared to last we met them. We need to focus on ourselves and be aggressive - the Latvian said.

 Unlike Maccabi, who are 6-13 and cannot hope for much in the race for playoffs, Unics are 7-12 and in spite being in a similar situation, they have a much better organized team and much better atmosphere on that team. However, there are injury struggles as well. Top point guard Colom's absence is noticeable, Stroll simply isn't his level. Parahovski did great against Fener the other day (21p) but Langford couldn't get past Obradovic's defense (no shots for 2, 2-for-5 for three). Without his 20 or so points, UNICS can probably beat no one in Euroleague.

- The last defeat will only motivate them - Pasutin said.

- Maccabi's players are athletic, they will be aggressive and we need to be ready for 40 minutes. Fresh players can help us to respond to that aggressiveness.

Banic is back, Clark is on the team again, Voronov was back against Fener so Pasutin has quite a few good options. He used Johnson at point guard position quite a lot and he was very happy with him. 

We don't know if Colom will be back today. Ponkrasov is out from before.
