Leipzig used almost the same roster in the last days of 2016. 12 players, three of which goalies, got Leipzig only one point in the away game against Bad Wildungen (24-24), and their offense was visibly struggling. Today, they will have to do without four of the five long-injured players who didn't play that game. Some of them are injured, some are pregnant, some are feeling sick, so they'll have three juniors in the lineup today.
With only one true started in the back positions, and improvising the rest, we can expect Leipzig to be focused on the defense more and try to use that to get points against the experienced rival.
Oldenburg have good players - two of them are playing for the German national team, one for the Dutch, and a few other experienced players are there to help make Oldenburg an evened out opponent here, or even a slight favorite for the win.
The guests are only missing the back Julia Wenzl, but she's been out since the season began. Oldenburg allowed over 28 goals in four of their nine duels, but the only blunder was against Goppingen (33 goals). Betigheim, Metzingen and Buxtehuder are three best German offenses, and can't be compared to the limited Leipzig.
Another useful option could be the handicap offered for Oldenburg, but the best one is definitely the individual total for the hosts.
