    Totas qualified for last season's play-off in the last round, got a wild card for the Eurocup, their sponsors Fiat probably gave them a financial injection so they acquired Paunic, Morgan, Pierrie, Owens and Kadji. They are a good team on paper, but so far only a group of individuals. Their crucial players are still last year's key players, Mejia and Crocker, while Micic's departure is a big handicap. They lost their last pre-season game 88-81 to Eskisehir, Efes defeated them 88-67, Lokomotiv 84-70, they lost to Novgorod (who lost to Belgians in the Champions League), then to Milan, while they defeated only Gaziantep, Sakariya and Aris.
    On the other side we have Darussafaka where David Blatt put together a team of hungry players, who have become a real team over the Summer and who have impressed me in every way. I watched their tournament in Moscow against CSKA and Panathinaikos, and their last pre-season game against Efes. They lost to CSKA by a basket or two, the next day defeated Panathinaikos and later Efes, so they are at the level of three Euroleague teams. Before that they defeated Zenit, Promitheas and Istanbul IBB.
    Blatt has put together an aggressive team, I haven't seen something like that even in Zvezda in their best days with Radonjic. They are at the same time very fast, offensively powerful, and Blatt also pointed out that they will be physically very strong and athletic.
    They kept Wilbekin and good Turkish youngsters, while Kidd, Cummings,Sant-Ross, Johnson, Bell and Eric might not be well known, but Blatt fit them in great and we will see a much more dangerous Darussafaka than last year. Details

    Bruck's first half in the championship this season: Krems 11-18, Graz 11-20, WestWien 9-16, Alpla 8-17, Ferlach 14-14, Linz 13-14. Ferlach are at bottom part of the table just like Bruck, Linz is not far either. That game was played at Bruck's court where they did rather well. In away games, they are really bad.

    Fivers can compete with all of the 4 teams that covered this against Bruck. They beat Krems, Graz and Alpla, lost a close game to WestWien. They jsut played a good game against the powerful Alpla and there is no doubt they will go into this strong to settle the game as soon as possible since this is the 5th game for them in two weeks.

    These teams met at Bruck's arena in preseason. Fivers were weakened and had a 13-10 lead at half time (2x25). I have no doubts the goal difference here will be at least 5-6 goals now that they are complete and in great rhythm. Details

    This is the third consecutive season that Vardar and Szeged are in the same Champions League group, but the first one is not that relevant, since that was a different Szeged. In comparison to last season, their rosters are almost identical, but Vardar are with Kristopans, and without Dujsebaev, a bit slower, more offensively oriented. In their head-to-heads last season the results were 30-27 in Skopje and 23-21 in Hungary.
    Vardar conceded over 25 this season only in the irrelevant game against Tatran (18-11 at halftime) and to Barcelona in the Super Globe semi-final (29-32). In the Champions League they have 26-22 at Wisla, 27-23 at home against Nantes and 28-21 against Zagreb.
    Szeged had the best defense in the Champions League last season, and in last and this season they never conceded over 30 goals. Except the 30 in Skopje, they also conceded that much to PSG in CL quarter-final, and to Nantes in France. We can also bet on the 53.5 under, but since I cannot see a scenario in which this will go up to 7-8 goal difference for either team, this option seems better. Details

    Vojvodina coach said that this is a 120-minute meeting for them. That means they will not rush today. They will play smart to get a chance here and the same goes for Winterthur, who are known for a tough defense and disciplined game. Winterthur in preseason: Hard 51 (28:23), Constanza 44 (23:21), in Doboj 51 Tatran, 49 Borac, 45 St Peterburg, 50 Kolding. In the Cup Basel at 49 and Biel at 52 (won 24-18). The championship: Suhr 40, Zurich 52 (dobili 32:20), Bern 50, Kriens 39, Gossau 49 and the irrelevant Kadetten (because of their speed and offensive power) at 60 whom they beat 31:29. Vojvodina have Metalrug at 40 and Zagreb at 50 in the last two, which is very relevant. In EHF Cup, Doukas at 50 and 46, before that Nexe at 61. Nexe are much faster that Winterthur and don't have that kind of defensive power. Dinamore at 53, especially in defense. Both teams will play smart today and be in a big battle for every goal.     After they defeated Brose by 13 points (+15 by halftime) at the tournament in Zadar, in the first round of Bundesliga they won at Giessen by 34 points (+26), and on Tuesday at home they defeated Braunschweig by 58 (+27). Gottingen lost tat Frankfurt by 8 (-7) on Tuesday, in the first round they lost at home to Oldenburg by 8 (-6). Last year Gottingen and Bayern also played at this time, and Bayern won by 31 (+14) at Gottingen who struggled with injury problems back then, and they are struggling with them now as well. Centers Kramer and Carter are out, their tallest player is a 210 cm tall shooting guard. Watson is also questionable, he missed the first two championship games. Cunningham is back for Bayer, and Jovic could also be back.
    Bayern have not struggled against teams of Gottingen's quality last season. At home they won by 15 (+21).     Madeira have 54 against Porto, 53 Sao Bernardo, 63 Sporting, 49 Benfica and 67 Boa Hora this season. Porto have a great defense and they don't rush, but Madeira still managed to score 29 against them. The only minus here are Benfica, who slowed the pace and did not rush and won through defense. Madeira showed in the next round that the problem was not with them, scored 35 against Boa Hora. Madeira have started giving the performances they are giving today in February, they improved their form at since then they have 17/21 overs on this margin. Their unders from last season were against Sao Mamede (33-13), Porto (28-24), and Porto and Sao Bernardo.
    Maia have only one real over this season, Belenense at 62. They played at 52 against Avanca who are defensively oriented, Xica and Fafe, who cannot be compared with Madeira. Maia usually play at higher numbers in away games, last season they had 5/7 overs on this margin in the relegation battle, their unders were in games against Avanca and Fafe. In the regular season they had 8/13 overs, but unders at Porto, Avanca and Aquas can be written off due to the strength of their defense. They have 52 against inconsistent Horta, 52 against Boa Hora. Maia's most relevant games are those against Belenense, which ended at around 60 goals. Madeira and Maia played at 58 here last season, at 69 at Maia, and that was all in 2016, while Madeira were still not playing well. This will goat least over 55, I expect another efficient game.
