    Kuban have, under Bartzokas, imposed themselves with discipline and defense this season. In their last two away games they conceded 80 against Zvezda with 50 in the first half and a lot of three pointers by Zvezda in the first 20 minutes, and 85 at Fener, where they fell apart in the last ten minutes (conceded 34). Neither of those situations is possible today because Unicaja don't have Zvezda's shooting potential or Fenerbahce's quality potential. An important thing for today's game is absence of center Hendrix, who is a mobile five with good shot from the distance. I don't believe Cooley and Vazquez can give Plaza what he would get from Hendrix. Lokomotiv can put pressure on their guards and I don't expect Unicaja towards 80 points. The game is very important for both teams, it will be very competitive and Unicaja can, with the problems they are having and their unconvincing performances lately, hardly go over 75. Details

    There are at least a dozen of reasons to expect another match with over 60 goals today. First and foremost, this is a clash of two most efficient offenses in Denmark. Esbjerg average 30 goals per game, Nykobing 29. Each of these teams have 2 players in top 10 scorers of the league. The first head-to-head of the season finished at 67 goals with almost 120 shots on both sides. Nykobing have the second worst defense in the league - allow 28,5 goals per game. Furthermore, neither of their goal keepers are among Top 15. Nyobing were awarded more penalties than any other team in the league so far. Esbjerg right behind. Reason seven is form. Esbjerg have 4 overs in the last 5 games, Nykobing have two overs but they played defense oriented teams to record three overs at 56 games each. Also, home team's pivot recently learned that she no longer fits into plans of the Danish national team coach. That seems to have motivated her a lot and she scored a total of 18 goals in the last three matches. She is determined to show the national team coach he made a mistake. Details

    I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about Ram on clay. He hasn't played on it in a long time, since 2012, and he avoided it for a reason. I couldn't bet on counter-handicap against Zeballos even though I knew that the Argentinian is not a smasher. However, even if I had some doubts around Quito and the conditions there, both Ramos and Ram changed my opinion. There is no need for caution. Altitude is not only relevant, but the most important factor. Ram hit 15 aces, won 73% of second serve points against Zeballos. He didn't lose his serve in the entire match. Ramos also left Lajovic without a break chance and earned only one, and they are two classic clay-court players basis of whose performance is not the serve. I expect a similar scenario today. Ram is not a clay-court player and he suffered some defeats in the past which are hard to explain from the point of view of this prediction, but Quito is anything but an ordinary tournament. Actually, it is even faster than some hardcourt tournaments, and all because of the altitude. Besides, it's enough to look at Ram's serving stats. Ramos also isn't s smasher, so we have Ram who has a perfect court for his game style in Quito, and we have Ramos' forfeit in doubles. But he would be betting on this without that forfeit, it's just an added bonus. The bet is based on Ram who can play his game here, regardless of the fact it is played and clay and I think that wasn't accounted for in the odds and margins. Details

    Whichever way this tournament ends, Zemlja will be remembered here, at least until someone breaks his records. In the first round he hit 33 aces against Jung which is a tournament record, and proof that the Slovenian feels good here, especially at his serve. He confirmed that in the next match against unpleasant Smith in which he lost his serve only once in three sets. Zemlja's quality is undisputed, and if he stays healthy, I am sure he will be in the Top 100 again this year, and Edmund is really close to that. The Brit already won 10 matches this season and I respect his results, but it's not all that great. He came here after a slip up in Maui finale, and in the two matches played so far he didn't play his best tennis. Bangoura almost covered this margin against him, and he lost his serve twice against McGee yesterday. All in all, I believe that he has his most difficult task ahead of him today, definitely the toughest opponent and I expect Zemlja to provide good resistance. This margin should, by al odds, pass with at least one tiebreak which was the case in their only head-to-head match so far. Details

    I wrote on Bilan several times this season and he hasn't let me down yet. Cedevita's center is a key player in the team, and he will have an important role today as well, and so does more playing time since Zoric is still injured. Bilan is the only center on the team, he is replaced by Zganec who is not a classic center and Bilan should be playing a lot today. The match-up against Raduljica suits him because he is faster and more agile than him and I think Bilan will use that in the offense. Statistically he is 21-15 in favor of over this season. He is good form, he scored 13 against Fener, but with three missed free throws in the last minutes, scored 15 against Sentjur in 15 minutes of playing time, and he scored 16 at home against Efes. We have him at 13.5 again today and I think we have to use that. Details

    In my opinion, there's no dilemma that Philipp will win this, and all that's left to see is how convincing the German will be. Considering Stakhovsky was limited to only 4 games, Damir definitely won't fare any better here. The Ukrainian is a much better indoor player, and even though he didn't have a good serving day, he was nowhere near making the match suspenseful. Kohlschreiber stormed through the match like a speed train, and solved it faster than anyone hoped. But the body language was especially significant. He was visibly thrilled after every good move, he cheered himself on, and with his usually elegant tennis earned a routine win. Dzumhur used every problems Vesely is currently struggling with. The Czech decided to fire his coach, he came to this tournament with bad rhythm so everything came together for Damir after the series of injuries his rival suffered at the Australian Open. It seems that he is out of mitigating advantages and that Philipp wlll bring him back to reality today, and I cannot see a tiebreak in this match. I expect the German to dominate and win convincingly, and Dzumhur, of course, won't be able to complicate the match. Details

    Resita are a team known for complete focus on defense and lower pace. As soon as they face anyone also oriented on defense, their games finish at around 50 goals. They finished the first game against Targu at 43, and after that the opponents were taken over by Rudic, who is even more oriented on defense. They stopped at 42 against Odorhei, 47 against Turda, 39 Timisoara, 50 CSM and 49 with Steaua who play at a high pace... Even against fast Vaslui they played at 54 at the start of the season, and later at 51. In the Cup last month they played at 48 against CSM. They went over only against weak Focsani and Galati, and fast Dinamo and Pioesti. Targu managed to limit Pioesti to 49 goals, and Vaslui at 44. That says enough about how dedicated to defense Rudic really is. And we should expect full application of his tactics now because he had enough time over the Winter to adapt the team to his playing style. Another thing in favor of the under today is the fact that this is an important game points-wise so we should expect a lot of fierce contact just like in their first head-to-head game. The margin of 50 goals seems like the most for these two defense oriented teams in accordance with the circumstances in which the game is being played. Details
