    Even though I bet against Padova not long ago, I do have to admit that they are playing great volleyball right bow. In the last round they almost won at Macerata, but they play even better at home. They are currently right outside play.off and if they win today they will skip Monza at the 8th position. Molfetta are a home-court oriented team and such odds at 1.44 in away game don't make any sense. True, they have great diagonal Hierrezuelo-Hernandez, but they always played their best at home, and they haven't had much success away. This is a big derby between two 'hot' teams right now and I expected even odds. Danger from Padova comes from all ides, while in Molfetta everything pretty much depends on the form of opposite Hernandez. Considering the fact that Padova are playing at home, these odds are too high and their win should be taken with five units. Details

    Chalon secured the top spot and will be without the important center Booker today. They will struggle in the paint because the Italians have Fesenko and Johnson. The French have a very tough game coming up in three days and it's very important for them to avoid any injuries today. On the other hand, Cantu need a miracle - a win by 29 points to get through since Enisej won by 26 yesterday. Coach Bazarevic says the players are very motivated after two defeats and that they will play a defense that is much different than the one i the first game when they allowed 89 points. I cannot claim they will win by 30 points, especially because Chalon did well so far, but I can claim that the Italians will be fierce and motivated to make up for the deficit.     I first thought about a counter-handicap, which can often be useful indoors, but there shouldn't be any beating around the bush with Gulbis. He is such player. For the majority of the season it will be worth betting against him when he is the favorite, but there will always be value in these kind of matches and a good bet. Especially today. Gasquet planned to play Doha, then he withdrew. Then he planned to play at Australian Open and he withdrew. I know he wouldn't withdraw this week. Not only because he is the title defender, but because of his coach who is the director of the tournament. Frenchman's statements are ful of doubt. He has been having back problems since last year, and he was in therapy until two weeks ago. This week is a test for him, and on the other side he has fired-up Gulbis. He played a decent match yesterday. Ok, his opponent helped him, but it is obvious he is playing well. More importantly, these are the matches he loves the most. He will play boom-boom tennis, he said he expects this week to be a turning point so I believe he will be focused. He was yesterday. Even if the circumstances weren't as such, the odds on Gulbis in these conditions is a must-take. Gulbis won one of three matches, but he defeated the French in similar conditions two years ago. In these circumstances, with Gasquet's questionable health, in the first match of the season and very optimistic Gulbis, this becomes a bet for a higher stake. Details

    Before the season it was predicted that Kopenick will be in the relegation battle, but they have come near the play-off, thanks to good performances. This is a match in which they have nothing to lose, and a lot to gain, if they win they jump to the position that leads into playoff. In the last round they defeated Potsdam who are at the same level as Vilsbiburg, but when in full strength. Complete Vilsbiburg lost a month ago at Potsdam. The home team will be without important blocker Sadova and receiver Markovic, while Charuk was just acquired and it is unlikely she will play much. Vilsbiburg were struggling with injuries in January, a lot of players were out and they played much more than Kopenick and they are going into this game fatigued. This is their seventh game in less than three weeks, and their last four games were played in five sets. Kopenick lost only four games by 3-0 this season, two to defending champions Dresden, one to Schwerin and Suhl. Dresden and Schwerin are much better than Vilsbiburg, especially this tired and without important players. Kopenick won a set against Wiesbaden two weeks ago, and Wiesbaden defeated Vilsbiburg twice in January. Vilsbiburg won by 3-0 two times against Suhl, once against Straubing and VCO Berlin. Their first head-to-head game in Berlin was won by Vilsbiburg in five sets, and it was an even game. The circumstances are such that Kopenick's set seems like a good bet here. They are in good form, of 16 games this season, they lost only four by 3-0. Vilsbiburg won four of their 17 games 3-0. This shouldn't be paid more than 1.60. Details

    I don't understand the logic behind Reims being such favorites. They are a team that won only once in 15 rounds, and this entire season, in 12 home games they won only three. Reims had a decent start of the season, but as time went they had more and more injured players, and then that impacted their results. They earned their three home wins in the first four home games, and since then they were unable to defeat anyone here, and they faced some weaker teams like Ajaccio, Toulouse or Troyes. True, in their last home game, Reims played a decent game against St. Etienne, but couldn't win even then. Angers have been a pleasant surprise of the season, but no one trusts them yet since they are new in the league. OK, two rounds ago PSG demolished them, but that is a whole other level of football. On the other hand, what Angers have displayed against Monaco was amazing. It is unlikely the away team will repeat such performance, but for at least a point at Reims, even less should suffice.     Even when it mattered more, Kataja played attractive basketball, for an extra point and almost all of their games in the competition were in the over. Today's game is not relevant, this game is the Finns good bye to Europe and I expect they will want to give their fans a good game. They will go for the win, but I expect fast basketball with fast pace and a lot of points. Their first head-to-head game finished 96-85 for Rishon, it was a much more important game, and the Israelis thisrd game in four days. It still went over 180 points, and Rishon had 77 shots from the floor which is the best indicator of the pace of the game. Rishon have some result motivation in this game, they still have a chance to fight for the top spot in the group and they announced that they are coming for the win. They are good defensively and motivated so they could leave Kataja at around 80 or under points, so this option seems better to me than the overall over. The only chance for Kataja, in my opinion, is a great shooting night and a win in a game at a bigger number of points, but in any case, Rishon should go up to 90 points here. The stats are not in favor of this bet, but that first head-to-head game, and especially Kataja's game style and character of today's game are strong arguments for me which neutralize those certain statistical disadvantages. Kataja conceded over 80 points in the championship against the likes of Korikobrat and Nokia, Rishon have a lot of attacking potential with numerous Americans on the team, they scored 94 to Maccabi at Tel Aviv and I think that in these circumstances, it shouldn't be a problem for them to go over this margin.     UNICS is not the same team without Langford. Not only because of his 20 points per game. With him on the team defenses are set differently, other players get more room, and UNICS play with more idea. They are much more dangerous with him, more diverse. We have seen in the Czech Republic a few days ago how many problems they have without him. They scored 75. Today they are facing a team that has not conceded over 74 in the last four games. They can still advance in the Eurocup and they will fight maximally. In the current circumstances, it is unrealistic to expect UNICS to go over 80 points.
