    I simply have to go against Monfils. This year he played two tournaments and his sorrows are bigger than ever. Last week in Montpellier he defended the title and often complained of fatigue. Somehow he reached the semi-finals in which Gasquet showed him his place. Monfils simply wasn't himself and although he didn't mention anything later, I don't believe his situation could drastically improve in two days. He beat Beck in Montpellier only for Simon to beat him. Then he went to this tournament's qualifications. With a total of nine missed games he passed the uncomfortable Ilhan and dangerous Gombos, allowing only one break-point in those two matches. Adaption kicked in and I think that he could stand up to Monfils. In a sea of possibilities, I opted for his won set, while I also think a handicap on him seems like a good idea, as well as an over for games. Details

    No league in Europe is investing this much as the Turkish league. With a great capital and a flood of foreigners, the league is very strong and no wonder than anonymous clubs such as Trabzon or Usak are playing important roles; not to mention the fact that Efes and Fener are great candidates for the Final Four of Euroleague. Trabzon are in this third league rank of European basketball a class, and thus their 9-0 record is no coincidence. The Belgians are not as strong, they always lost to stronger teams, and when you have a record of -14 aganst Enise, -9 against Le Mans, and -10 against Trabzon... They even lost against second-league Biella from Italy. The difference in quality is obvious. Trabzon are coming here to win and secure the quarter-finals so they can devote themselves to Beko League where they're after the playoffs, and next week they're up against a tough away match in Enise, and they're aware they can complicate the situation. Considering such circumstances and the strength of Markovic's team, I will go for a win without much hesitaton... Details

    De Bakker is one of those players who either play well and look like they're Top 50 or play horribly and look like a mediocre challenger level player. He is one of the most talented players and does good when on the rhythm. I think the situation here is ideal for him here. Clay surface and conditions faster than one normal clay. He got through to the main draw easily while losing only one service game and that is the main proof that the conditions suit him - he has very good service and aggressive game. He's very dangerous when he manages to get through to main draw and finds rhythm. Both last and this year prove that. He's done it in Doha to go on and win a set against Ferrer who won the tournament. Theimo was Top 50 once, he has the game for Top but don't have consistency and calmness. He is capable of playing one tournament as a Top 50 player, especially when getting into the main draw through qualifying matches. Monaco has some back problems and some confidence problems after Australia. He was outside of Top 100 at one point last season. He said he's frustrated after the defeat to Bolleli because he's not completely fit and that he was losing motivation. This will be his first match on this surface this year, it's hard to tell if he 100 percent ready and the opponent is very good and much more aggressive. De Bakker can set his pace and has done qualifying matches here perfectly. Monaco is not the favorite in my opinion. Details
